Make Third Reich flag available for country selection

Sorry Clog, it's not just a flag. It is a symbol that stands for way more then just a black thingy in a red background.
That is pretty much all it is. This is a symbol going back a long time and was even seen as a good luck charm before the Germans started putting it in their flag and maybe that is why they did.
I believe in freedom of expression myself and people can fly whatever flag they want. Some people here probably find the homosexual rainbow flags offensive or even American ones are we going to ban those too? This flag is just a flag, a piece of Germany's history. If you cannot see it anymore than that then you are still afraid of what once was and not what is.
Daovonnaex said it best “A symbol has only as much power as you give it.”

it's a matter of respect, I'm not going to ask anyone to ban anything. But if someone flies a flag like that they know they will be offending people. You can scream freedom of speech all you want it's just a dick move to create controversy.
your canadian flag offends me dick move buddy
Why?
your dutch flag is a symbol of racism and imperialism (also hideous names)
ban itWould you mind explaining that to me?
The Dutch were for many years an imperialist superpower who waged wars of aggression and committed numerous atrocities, and this legacy continued well after Dutch power disappeared. Ask the Indonesians what they think.
The fact of the matter is that most current or formerly "great" nations have committed horrific inhuman acts of barbarism, yet for whatever reason only the Nazis get singled out. Don't get me wrong, the Nazis set an appallingly high mark for evil, but they're hardly alone. While Hitler is demonized, killers of the past like Napoleon and Alexander continue to be celebrated as heroes. The hypocrisy is outrageous.
I'm not accusing any of you of this, but you have to admit that this is absurd.

Do your homework. What colours was the Dutch flag in those days?
FYI, I AM one of those Indonesians
While the flags of Nazi Germany and the USSR do look badass, it's not about the flags so much as what they've come to represent. This sucks for Finlanders adn Jains, because people are still so focused on the swastika and what it has come to represent for them in this century, that they forget about what it means to other people and cultures.
There are still people in the west who become wide-eyed and gasp when they see this:
Or this:
Which was the Finnish Roundel in WWII.

The flag was adapted in 1937. Does anyone remember the Dutch attempt to maintain their rule over Indonesia after WW2?
FYI, I don't care about national self-determination--a colonial government is no more evil than a national government in my eyes, but the fact remains that the Dutch waged war on segments of the Indonesian people in an attempt to maintain their rule.

Actually, it was more of a symbol of life and eternity constantly going forward in a circle/wheel that never ends. It ties into the fairly common belief of Eastern Religions in reincarnation and karma.
Edit: It was people of the Western World in the early 20th century that began to treat it as a good luck charm.

Oh PLEASE! After WWII the Dutch were out of power there. Of course there was some fighting, but trying to maintain their rule? That's too much credit.

Indonesian nationalists declared independence after the Japanese capitulation, which immediately sparked armed conflict with the Netherlands. The Dutch first managed to recapture Jakarta, and then launched a second offensive to capture Yogyakarta. It wasn't until 1949, when under pressure from India, Australia, and the United States (which threatened to suspend Marshall Plan funds) that the Dutch agreed to Indonesian independence.

Well if you are so against what it represents why are acting like they were? One thing you should have learned from the Second World War is freedom. Not being told how to think, not being told what to wear, and not being told what flag you can even have. So how are you any different than the Germans were? They banned their own history too and burned a lot of their books. Should we just do that burn every that was Germany from 1930-1945 and forget it ever happened? I just don’t see what banning your history accomplishes other than oppression. Maybe they don’t like what they did or what happened but I think they should accept it rather than try and eliminate it and hide it from everyone. This is why you see all these holocaust deniers out there and people who will probably fly Germany’s former flag simply because their own country is trying to deny the truth being told or even be expressed and are stopping people from even questioning or thinking differently from it. Sounds familiar doesn’t it?
Anyway this is not society this is Trevor’s forum and whatever his majesty the ruler of the CKA decides goes but I personally am against people trying to ban thoughts or expressions that differ from their own. Sure they can be ridiculed for it and may even be targeted but every man should have the right to express himself especially in a non-violent way such as flying a flag.
Fuck it let him wave it all he wants....it's not like they won
So to me it is nothing more than a symbol of failure....besides it could come in handy after you take a shit.

Don't forget Clog, that the Netherlands are not Germany. The Netherlands thought they would stay nutral in WWII. It was only since 1940, when the Nazi's intruded the Netherlands, they were suppressed. It lasted only 5 years, but a lot of people have suffered from it. And they still do.
