Recently a few things are different on this site. I know it's likely due to changes that were made for a reason but I'm just curious...I guess if there was a post about these changes I missed it and have not been able to find these answers elsewhere on this site. If someone has a moment I'd appreciate it.

1. In our Member Profile one must specify an NHL team and their logo from a drop-down list. What if your favorite hockey team is not in the NHL? Why can't we just type it in like we could before? Instead "blank.gif" is displayed.

2. You used to be able to glide your cursor over an avitar to get a brief profile on that member. Why does this not work now? One's rank info also does not display anymore. Is this because of the space it took up?

3. Where do I find an address to send a donation to? The donation page says go to the contact page for an address but when you go there, there isn't one. Also, do I make the payment payable to "Canada Kicks Ass"? Sorry, but I do not have a paypal account and would rather not set this up so if I could just send a Money Order I'd be happy to contribute.

This must be in relation to my question #2 and I've looked in the preferences but do not see anything I haven't already indicated "yes" to that would affect this.

Well, I'm not sure who Sgt Rock is but that is Jack the Giant, he's a lumberjack (B.C. is famous for having trees after all) and is the mascot of the Vancouver Giants. There is a guy who dresses up as a giant lumberjack and runs around the building during games entertaining the crowd. The silly side of hockey.

I didn't even notice Spr's avitar in relation...it's been a loooooong week. (Maybe I'm still in hockey withdrawl)

   

YEAH! It works now. Weird, because I have not adjusted those settings since I first set them up in April. But it works now and that is what matters! Thanks Hyack!

   

OK, corrected that too so that annoying little box does not show up. However in my profile under "favorite hockey team" it displays "blank.gif" and I've seen this in other member's profiles too. You used to be able to type in your favorite team's name and that's what would appear but since the logo feature was added the info in this text box does not seem to register.

He changed that feature and now you can't type it in anymore, it's either an NHL team or the blank.gif. Maybe we should gang up on him so he can add some WHL or more specifically, Vancouver Giants logos?!!
