Mad at myself for not doing this earlier. Been living with family for a year now and this is their/our Scottie dog. Libby, about the time of the Great Backyard War of summer 2014 where she lost her front paws in a fight with a magpie. Has had to wear floppy gardening gloves ever since. Tragic yet brave AF. Easily rates 13/10. Scots wha hae, pupper.

Holy shit! Would not have thought a magpie could do that! Owl sure, but must have been some scrap!

Thanos @ Fri Dec 23, 2016 12:39 pm

She didn't even feel the pain until about an hour later.

Robair @ Fri Dec 23, 2016 12:40 pm

Terriers.
I have all kinds of respect for the little shits!

Strutz @ Fri Dec 23, 2016 12:46 pm

How did the magpie look afterward?

Libby is a cutie btw!

Thanos @ Fri Dec 23, 2016 12:46 pm

That magpie was F'd up big time and was last seen limping away on one wing. Here she is for Festivus, aboot ready to moo out of frustration at the stupid things the humans do.

(paws magically grew back BTW  )

Our little companion is named Thomas. He's an eight years old Pomeranian who loves to hang out in the living room, cuddle up during Netflix evenings with my girlfriend, and lick me in the face as a wake up call, an unlikely alarm clock in the morning. He's a spoiled brat, always gets what he wants, my girlfriend even bought him one of those heated dog beds so he wouldn't freeze up during cold weather. Either way, he's a playful little tyke and a bundle of joy to us. Raised him since he was a pup and is an important part of the family. :)

Woke up to a strange multipoo sitting at the foot of the bed! Followed our dog home and thru the doggie-door when he did his morning stroll.
She hung around all day, really good little thing. Walked around the neigbourhood, nobody knew of her. Posted her pic on the local FB page and after dinner went to the campsite dwn the block to see if a visitor or evacuee lost her. Nope...
Just as I got home, her owner showed up.
Kinda sad, she was good at walkies and even leaped all the way up into the Jeep to go for rides. My Pom and my cat are moping, they played with her all day even all slept in a heap on the wife's stomach when she nodded off.

Congrats on your new furry bundle of joy xerxes!

What breed is Archie? Looks like a mix.

xerxes @ Fri Jul 21, 2017 11:53 am

Poodle cross with...something. He was an adoption so we don't know exactly.

DrCaleb @ Fri Jul 21, 2017 11:54 am

Very cute Xerxes!

Strutz @ Fri Jul 21, 2017 12:02 pm

He almost seems to have Golden Retriever traits.

You got him from a shelter then?

xerxes @ Fri Jul 21, 2017 12:40 pm

We did. An international shelter no less.

My wife is still friends with her old landlord and he and his gf have adopted dogs from Taiwan. So one day my wife was facestalking the gf who liked a picture from the adoption agency in Taiwan, saw his picture and fell in love with him right away. Then a month later he was here, waking us up in the middle of the night to go do his doggie business and chewing on everything low to the ground :)
