So... What is the BEST Canadian Beer???
As an American... I thought it would be interesting to ask all of my new found Canadian friends which Canadian beer they think is the best!?
I myself drink only... (well almost only) Molson Canadian Lager! Occasionally I will also drink RED STRIPE Lager and Guinness... but I will almost never drink U.S. beers unless there is absolutely nothing else available!!!
So........ are there any Canadians out there that prefer any U.S. beer brands over their Canadian beers... and are willing to admit it???
CHEERS!!!
Sleeman has some tasty brews
I've enjoyed Molsen, too. I buy Sleeman plus some of the local WI beers....I can't drink the Bud and Miller products!! I'd rather not drink beer than drink Bud and Miller.

I have NEVER tried Sleeman... but upon your recommendation I will have to hunt down a distributor here in PA that carries it!? I just checked out their website
http://www.sleeman.com and was wondering which of their brands you recommend.? The Original Dark and the Original Draught look quite tasty to me!!!
I will have to agree with you on the whole Bud thing... although I would much rather drink Miller over Coors!
Unibrou, La Fin De Monde! 10%. Need I say more?
porscheboxster2001,
I really like the Original Dark, Original Draught, and the Creamy Ale....in that order. It's pretty wild because the price is much cheaper than a lot of the "premium" beers and I enjoy the taste just as much. Capital Brewery of WI makes some outstanding microbrews and their Wisconsin Amber is awesome
On a side note, do you follow NFL football? If so, are you a Steelers, Eagles, or some other team's fan? I'm obviously a Packer fan.

Thanks for your opinon's on the brew ManitowocDave... I'll really have to try to track some down!?
As far as follow NFL football... I watch the games when they are on. I really don't get into all the player stats and stuff. Even though I live only 30-35 minutes outside of Philly... I AM NOT an Eagles fan.... they BLOW!!! I was actually born in Maryland and cheer on the Washington Redskins... I just hope we show up this year!?
WOW!!! I used to live in Virginia Beach, VA and was a major Redskins fan before Dexter Manley spit in the face of a N.O. Saints player and Joe Gibbs didn't punish him for it. I switched to the Cowboys and then became a Packers fan after relocating to WI. My mother-in-law had major troubles with me being a Cowboys fan, so after a few years I became a fan
If you buy the Sleemans, let me know what you think of them.

A reason more why Canadian beers are better than our south neighbours

mmm Unibrue, all are so delicious, Maudite, fin du monde, raftsmen, my favourite from that company is Trois Pistoles.
But as for domestic, I find I comfortably drink alot ALOT of Pilsner and Kokanee.
On the other hand I think the best beer Ive drank in Canada is Earls (resturant chain) Winter Pudding Ale... OOOOH man my mouth is watering just thinking about it. There was a simular even better Ale that I sampled and sampled at the Victoria Yacht club, I guess some guy brews it in his basement.

Don't know if you can get it there.. but the honey brown ale is Damn fine and tasty.
I like all canadian beer.. different days and celebtarions call for different beer.. Can't drink Canadian, Blue and Pilsner all the time...
When I was 15 it was Black Label..(cuase it was cheap)
When I was in College it was Fosters (brewed under licence here) and Kokanee.
In my mid 20's it was labatts blue and Molson Export
in my 30's Granville island pale ale and Alexander kieths pale.
Now in my late 30's. A fine glass of Johnnie walker green or Blue scotch ( sometimes a great single malt too)
For beer I'll have a Sleeman honey brown, still like alexander kieths and the odd occasional time a molson Ex.... Frosted Glass and cold the way beer was ment to be served...
But my absolute fav.. right now (this minute cause I have one in a chilled glass..) is Moosehead.. from Nova Scotia...
