I reckon you're just posturing for a fight and don't really give a rip one way or the other about what you think. I know the military and Alberta is a very strong choice for many soldiers who never came from here but once posted, find it hard to leave. I have nothing to prove and stated from the beginning that I had no figures so spare me your burgeoning flame and go take out your ED issues on someone more receptive.

Watching local media it would seem that most soldiers returning from Afganistan recently have been retiring to Ontario. Of course I think the correct term would be interred so the whole discussion of where guys retire to is mute and callous at this time....

So now they are saying in the news from Ottawa DND central Brain that the average Infantry soldier will soon only have to do one tour in Afganistan ......Can anyone her confirm or deny that story????

As for folks getting out of the Military and retiring in certian areas i can say that as each provinces economy goes up and down so does recruting in that province and when soldiers (Navy Airforce Army) 20 yrs are up then they want to go back home MOST OF THE TIME. I guess the trend now is that lots of folks that joined in the 80's are now reaching their 20 and moving back home
