No it doesn't! I was considering something to help me in a police force. You guys assumed an MP! Gah! :P

If police is your goal, go infantry then into special ops (if you're liking it). Of course you might have to stay in a few years so you look good to the cops.

I was planning on staying in till I got sick of it....if I get sick of it. I already had the Spec Ops idea in my head, wasn't entirely sure what that entailed.

Depends on how often, how big and how skilled at it you want to be. Answer those and it'll help narrow which Arm you want.

As often as necessary. As big as it has to be. And as skilled as I possibly can be. ;)

OK, next question. What are you shooting for in Uni?

4 years in June. There's nothing else I would rather be doing. Keeping this tin can moving through the water puts a sense of pride into the soul that nobody can understand.

Knowing that if we're ever put into harms way, that the work I have put in will keep us safe is the greatest reward I could ask for.

As a young man I had the good fortune to meet a judge who suggested if find another hobby that didn't include regular visits to his bench. This happy set of circumstances led me to spend the best 32 years of my life in the Navy, Looking back now I know I'll probably miss it the rest of my life or at least until I end up in an old sailors home, sitting in my rocking chair, drooling in my soup, recounting tales of heroism and misdeed to some imaginary large pink rabbit.

As a matter of fact I ran into another ex matelot a while back and while discussing the merits of a shot of cable, the topic of retirement came up, After much deliberation we both rather sheepishly admiited that we still dreamt about going to sea. So I guess the saying about taking the sailor out of the sea is true.

But to make a long story short. To those of you still serving, enjoy every minute of it, for it passes far to quickly. Your part of something very special, that few Canadians will ever get to enjoy.

Well everyone, A big CHIMO! out to you all.

Today is the Engineers birthday. A big 104 years old. A special shout out to those Sappers serving in the far flung corners of the world. Keep doing what you do, it makes a difference! Now, it's time for a ball game, a BBQ and something cold! PDT_Armataz_01_11
