Just polling to see who all have served their country. Discuss at will- but keep it civil and honorable.

Don't we already have a thread on this? Meh, anyways, im thinking about the navy. I've always wanted to serve on a hi-tech Canadian naval vessel patroling the high seas in search of plunder and glory.

I'm a bit torn. I wan't to serve my country, but I also rather dislike being shot at. Not to mention I'm incredibly lazy and out of shape, but I don't know... I would like to get my hands on a C7 though...

Currently, I'd see my life being used to fight wars for American adventures in places that never did anything to us, and doing little to nothing to protect the people who need it most.

I was at Grenada and I've heard a lot of people who weren't there tell me how bad it was. When I was there I remember civilians coming out into harms way to show us where the Cubans, Russians, and local thugs were hiding. Those people were helping us help them get their country back.

BTW, a lot of you think HRM didn't want us there. BS. I would not be here today were it not for the SAS guys who stopped a friendly fire between my Marines and a US Army group. And the SAS weren't there just to take pictures and sip iced tea.

We did protect the people who needed it most. Who else was going to stop Russia and Cuba?

Tried applying for ROTP but not "competitive" enough. Waiting for my second year of engineering to end then I'm applying for the Reserves.
