Put some ground-up shrooms in her dinner just to see what happens. Lighten up some, hon.

Way ahead of you buddy. She's staring into a mirror and screaming right now. I'm yelling "your fucking face is melting" from outside the door.

ok boys and girls, trying a new drummer tomorrow that just might turn a pretty good band into a great little band. Wish me luck!

Still doing the writing? I've got a couple of ideas in my head revolving around the extermination of the human filth that would either totally own or get me put into a mental hospital if I put them into words.

With all due respect to the queen of soul there's no competition. The original.

Ever read Naked Lunch? If you can top that for pure anarchy and moral disdain, let me know! ha ha ha.

Gave up the writing. Now I've hit my 50s it's All-Responsibility-All-the-Time. Kids, partner, aging parents, staff. Still managing to hang on to the music though!

The one I've been thinking the most of trying my hand at revolves around human embryos being altered by an AI and resettled away from a dying Earth to form a empathic collectivist society that wants to be left alone by the regular humans they've left behind, and who want to blend in to their new planets' environments and habitats instead of turning the new places into sewers like has happened to Earth. The greedy selfish idiots, ranging from the assholes from a jihadist empire to the typical Manifest Destiny pricks of an imperial America, won't leave them alone, of course, so the only solution is a war of extermination. The new humans are empathic towards each other and are engineered not to be hostile to non-human life but have also been built by the AI to find the old variety of humans intolerable to be around so no mercy is given when the bozos cross the final line and war erupts. It's almost Ellison-esque on the contempt I feel for people at any given moment of the day. :x

Know anyone hiring in Calgary? This isn't for me, it's for someone with a ton of office skills who's pretty damn desperate right now. All help is always appreciated. :(

No Cowtown connections, sorry. Lots of work in Vancouver right now though. Problem is finding a place to live. Public Works is hiring there, and so is Parks Canada--admin positions. jobs.gc.ca

We’re still recovering from the foolishness of Sixties songwriter/performer authenticity. Let the covers roll, man.

I’d also like to see new lyrics for many pop songs, including nearly everything from Wings. Generally speaking, they were great tunes gone to waste. Once John wasn’t standing over him Paul felt free to to indulge his soppy side and the tragic results are plain for all to see.

Found a guy that has hundreds of covers of songs to metal, and they are genuinely incredible. Alot of the songs he covers are pop garbage and makes them actually good. He does all the instruments and singing himself (when no one else is with him). I also love that he doesn't take himself serious and does goofy shit in most of his videos. Some of my favourites:

Coolio - Gangster's paradise

Lil John - Turn down for what

Toto - Africa

Pokemon theme song - This one is fucking hype as someone who grew up with it.

Gorrilaz - Feel Good Inc

John Travolta - Greased Lightning

Thanos @ Fri Nov 23, 2018 5:56 pm

Ten Masked Men did the same thing a few years ago, from a speed/death metal perspective:

Salt'n'Pepa - Push It

Phil Collins - Easy Lover

Spandau Ballet - Gold

etc etc etc - pretty certain that one of the Ten Masked Men is ...(drum roll)...ZIPPERFISH! 8O

This is my new favorite cover. He's got the pipes for it!

Think I'll always like the original. It's what I grew up listening to.

But this is cool... ...and remains Canadian
