Unions are a relic left over from the first part of the 20th century and unlike most relics, they do not become more valuable.
What are the working wages and benefits like in China?
In what relevancy?
HINT: No unions in China that I know of! Wages are the pits from what I've heard!
The benefits are the pits too!
Now yes some unions go too far but hey without a union do you expect the government to stand up for you? You know the same government red tape we all complain about?

The charter of rights and freedoms applies to all people of Canada, nou just the unionised ones, The law looks at all people equally ,except thise who are crazy rich.
To paraphrase Kennedy:
The rights of man come not from the generosity of the state but from the ... from the hand of God."
There is a world of poor out there but Canada, definately not Canadian taxpayers, cannot be expected to fund the inhumanity to man. Charity begins at home.
