I find it amazing that anybody advocates censoring others. There are clear laws in this country and if someones words or actions incite hatred towards another group or individual there are a variety of options from suing for slander or libel all the way to involving police and hoping they will lay a criminal charge. HRC's are the antithesis of their name and have had no practical relevancy since their inception.
They should pack the HRCs with fundamentalist Christians just to see what happens.

They don't even know what the complaint is about yet. They just received a letter saying there was a complaint with no details what so ever as to what the complaint was about but demand a explanation within two days ?

This looks real. It appears to be written on official Canadian Human Rights Commission letterhead stationary.
Other than the last name of the complaintant, this doesn't tell us much. It doesn't say what the complaint is about or anything else. Notice also that Connie was supposed to have responded to it by July 18, 2007, which is today. It was a fluke that we even checked the mailbox before we came home.

What concerns me is anyone and I mean anyone can file a complaint without merit and they will investigate. Sorry but the Human Rights Tribunal scares me, they have tooooooooooo much power.

You can be against the belief and post, print, say what you want in that regard. But use common sense, once you start advocating violence, you've crossed the line. Unfortunately, to the hyper-sensitive, criticism is equivalent to outright hatred. Too bad there is no cure for lack of common sense. Nowadays, it is becoming ever more rare.

Actually a phobia is a fear. So when you say you are an Islamaphobe, you are not saying you hate the belief, but that you fear it. Same thing, really, I suppose.
