Wow. I had no idea that the Democrats losing the House would be so upsetting to ol' Gordo.

I think the 9% favorable rating is what did it. Plus trying to bribe us with a tax cut that everybody saw thru.

He cuts and runs. Collects his pension and leaves the tax payers to pick up the tab. Nice

Two years too late you bastard.

Scape @ Wed Nov 03, 2010 3:40 pm

He calls it quits

$1:
SFU Prof. Lindsay Meredith, an expert on the connection between marketing, the economy, and politics, said it was former premier Bill Vander Zalm and the anti-HST recall campaigns that forced the Liberal party to push Campbell out ungracefully.

“Zalm set the clock ticking,” Meredith said.

sandorski @ Wed Nov 03, 2010 4:08 pm

The best thing he could do for BC IMO. I don't disagree with the HST, but clearly the way it was implemented and the subsequent controversy around that was guaranteed to bring the NDP back into Power. Perhaps replacing Campbell will avoid that, but I suspect it won't be enough. At least there's still hope though.

sandorski @ Wed Nov 03, 2010 4:13 pm

Hopefully the damage isn't so great that the NDP Wins in a landslide.

SprCForr @ Wed Nov 03, 2010 4:29 pm

Isn't that something. It's been too long since I've followed BC politics so I'm going to put this out there.

When the Socreds were decimated with Bill, the party loonies still had the reins and basically kept the Socreds from rebuilding. Is that still the case? How bad are the BC Libs going to wear this?
