You'll hear no argument from me regarding the Conservatives, their policies make me cringe, particularly on the social side.
But I'm in the middle of an NDP community, I receive NDP newsletters every week, and I had Olivia Chow come to my very door... and their message is still pretty terrible.
They have all of these plans, and heck, I agree with many of them, but their campaign needs some serious refocus - from Anti-Conservative to Pro-NDP.
I have to wonder if we're watching the same campaign, Orpheus. I see a lot of pro-NDP messages every day.
As an opposition party, it is their job to oppose the sitting government though, and there is a lot to criticize. What I notice is that those criticisms are based on Conservative policies. and there's a lot there to criticize, and the NDP options are presented.
Judging by gut issue after gut issue and nothing BUT the gut issue, I can only conclude the Tories are the ones that have no policy.
yeah, that's my take on it too, Herbie. Nothing on the environment, nothing on the economy (hey when Steve says our fundamentals are strong, does anybody else get the feeling he's talking about the people at his church?), nothing on childcare, nothing on nothing.
I heard Harper spout yet another lie yesterday in BC. The correct message here is that "A vote for the Liberals is a vote for the Conservatives".
Nothing making the national media yet, but the word appurtenance is openly mocked in Tory circles, 'raw log exports' are being touted with the "at least" argument, and some have even argued that shipping raw logs to China and returning the 2x4's to sell at Revy and HomeDepot is a 'natural process of the market' and somehow beneficial.
Layton has earned thousands of votes with his stand to rip up the Softwood Lumber Agreement in B.C.
