saturn_656 saturn_656:
I'm voting for the Conservatives.

1) I oppose a Carbon Tax.

2) Dion is not PM material.

3) I will not even consider voting Liberal until they ditch all of Chretien's old boys.

The NDP are straight up wing nuts. They are not an option for me.

In my mind I never really had much of a choice. It was the CPC or abstain.

All good points, but don't abstain. There are other choices. I'd vote 'Independent' if there were one in my riding, because I see that it's the party system that is broken. I'd even vote Green, as they aren't really that much that different than the rest, without all the inherited corruption. But the last green candidate in my riding looked like a dope smoking hippie.

Not that I'm against it, just he didn't come off as being serious enough to represent me. He could have at least combed his hair before having his campaign photo taken.

But go and spoil your ballot, if you must. Don't abstain, because that doesn't tell anybody anything. Other than you couldn't be bothered.

I'm with Danny Williams: ABC.

Anything but Conservative.

The east will not support the torys.. someone said they were leading in Ontario, but that doesn't seem to be the case.. alot of Ontarians are pissed about harpers lack of support for the industrial sector.. it will be interesting to say the least.. but I have decided to stick with the liberals.. I will be voting in my own riding in Quebec..

kenmore @ Tue Sep 02, 2008 2:44 pm

Good bye ;)

I'd like to kick him in the junk.

Give him one for me too, Robair. I hurt my leg and haven't gotten the hang of the crutches yet.

I believe you can officially decline your ballot too. Go to the polls and when they hand you your ballot, ask to officially decline it.

In the past I have not voted for Liberal, but I will this time. The clincher was the carbon tax, of which I am a very big fan. I will happily take lower income taxes.

I just hope they play this right, and really empathize that they will reduce income taxes significantly.

Too bad the greens, NDPand even the CPC have better green plans that won't raise the taxes on everything. :D

I do hope you realize that his plan has it's basis in the Green 2006 platform. It's too bad nobody listened then before the global warming hype was (pardon the pun) cool.

Really though, it's just a way to gouge more money and force the non existence of a middle class, no matter which party proposes it.

kettal @ Tue Sep 02, 2008 8:12 pm

I realize that, and I did indeed vote for the Green party in 2006.

This time, however, I get to vote that might actually affect the outcome.

Many European countries have a similar tax, yet amazingly they continue to have an existing middle class. Amazing isn't it!!

Brenda @ Tue Sep 02, 2008 8:21 pm

You don't want to follow Europe. Really, believe me, you don't. If you want the small companies to die, the one man's businesses with only a few people personnel, follow the European model.

The European middle class is what used to be the upper class. Don't be fooled.

kettal @ Tue Sep 02, 2008 8:28 pm

If you live in Netherlands, perhaps you are correct? But do you suppose the low unemployment in many countries is doctored then?

Arctic_Menace @ Tue Sep 02, 2008 8:35 pm

I'm gonna vote NDP just because they need the votes...

I sincerely hope you never realize just how wrong you are.

I suggest voting for the Canadian Action Party should you have a candidate running in your area. They are the only party willing to tackle the hard issues.

Keemo @ Wed Sep 03, 2008 7:15 pm

I've had enough scandals and meaningless rhetoric about the environment. Once again I will vote Green, as they seem to be the only party with a practical approach to the environment and health care.
