Yes, it blows my mind as well. Why shake the tree when all the fruit was growing so well? I think it comes down to a government who has for so long said they wanted a free vote on the issue. Now they will finally get it. I think it will still pass because the only ones in the conservative government that want it to fail are the far right church goers folks and as much as some feel all conservatives are narrow minded homo haters, the facts say different. There are enough liberals and NDP combined with the Bloc votes to defeat the issue. This doesn't count the Conservatives that don't think it's an issue and will vote against the Nazi few that do. So forget about it and give the church goers their vote and then we can get back to letting the gays call whatever it is they have marraige. If the church ladies are correct in their hatred, then God himself will judge them and burn them in hell....you got to love the church's tolerence levels don't ya! So much for loving all of God's children.

Here's the way I look at it. If two guys want to screw each other up the poop chute, that's their business. If two gals want to get it on, well, that too is their business. I must admit I have a problem with it being called marriage, but only because no matter how you look at it it's a civil union unless they got married by a person of the cloth. My wife and I have had a great civil union for over 10 years. Marriage? Not really, because we consider our relationship a partnership. Marraige to me indicates male dominance. Sort of like the man having ownership. She takes his name...She must love, honour, and obey....That sounds like slavery to me.

Since pretty much the beginning of the human race men and woman have been combined to make one or procreate , both having equal roles in this but also seperated at the rib so to speak to perform different rolls to insure the balance and harmony of going forth and populating the earth . According to the bible women were not around before God saw that it was not good and made woman from his rib ...so I suppose one could say , who knows what took place before this and the ironic fact that men have a useless remnant called nipples, shows the likeliness of the biblical events more likely to be true than false .But from what many like to believe is that science knows everything and is fact but really it does nothing more than mimic and enhance through the gift of knowledge .Also , Population enhances knowledge not individuals..." or the gay community ". Far too many issues decrease the favoritism toward homosexuality that it almost seems impossible that both public and government could even find a way to take notice . Homosexuality , adultry , beastiality etc etc have always existed . What should make anything different now than it was throughout history .People have been entertaining same sex for so long and yet so has rapists and murderers so the question is , Should we accept the fact the rape and murder are as characteristic of human beings as homosexuality is ? and as an acceptance to bring peace to homosexuals , rapists , murderers , pedophiles, etc etc -believe me its a very long list .)

Let me summarize for those who don't read ingorantese:

a) creationism is "more likely true than false"
b) women are just a fragment of men
c) belief in science is inherently immoral
d) homosexuality is comparable to rape and murder
