I've noticed the Conservatives on the internet have been awfully quiet about the whole doctored tape scandal. I thought they hated corruption. Why aren't they screaming for Grewal's head, and Harper's too?

The Conservatives admit the tape was doctored. They just cut out the bits that were unintelligable because it was a bad tape.
And if you believe that, there's this bridge for sale that you might be interested in....
Liberals look bad.
Conservatives look horrible.
Jack is having a field day.
No wonder that poll I saw last week which asked "Which party do you think would lead the house with the most honour and integrity?" the NDP came up #1.

Because its small potato's when put side by side with the Gomery enquiry.
Funny how no-one wants to focus on that point....especially the people from the east that stand to lose some bucks through equalization payments.
How sorry can you get? Not much more then that.
Anything to get Jack in and some more free bucks....how sad,but then the NDP lost any respect I had for them when they made that deal....and they call themselves the party for the people. I guess they think that most Canadians dont think it's such a bad thing to rip off the rest of the country that they conveniently call Canadians when the wallet is open but call them separatists when they question the blatant rip off of tax dollars from the "have" provinces and their own pockets.
Jack making a deal with Martin isnt corrupt?????

The Bloc and the NDP were the ones who had asked the RCMP to investigate. Conservatives handed over the tapes. The RCMP are said to be looking the issue over. How did the Liberals—the Prime Minister’s Office at that—know that RCMP Chief Superintendent Bernie Corrigan would be able to contradict Cpl. Nathalie Deschenes, if they “never spoke to anyone from the RCMP”?

So... because their corruption isn't as bad we should just ignore it?
I don't think anyone's going to come out of this one smelling sweet.
If someone's corrupt then they should be dealt with according to the law,it really doesn't matter what party they belong to. Who's ignoring it?
Still small potato's compared to the Librano's last few episodes,hope it doesn't become a long time series!

But the Liberals say Grewal’s tapes have been doctored, a charge the Conservatives flatly deny.
CFRA producers have examined the .wav files of the tapes and offer their opinions.
Both believe the tapes have been edited.
Then we get testimony from an expert;Grewal claims the tapes prove the Liberals offered him rewards, perhaps even a cabinet position, if he sat out the May 19th confidence vote.
But the Liberals say Grewal’s tapes have been doctored, a charge the Conservatives flatly deny.

MP Gurmant Grewal should be regarded and protected as a whistleblower because he uncovered and provided proof of government conspiracy & crime at the highest level. Instead, some of the liberal toady media, worried that they might miss the next press junket to Indonesia, are parroting that the Punjab translation is wrong or that the sound is bad or intermittent.
He was wearing a wire, not a sound studio! Even with Steven Harpers "SECRET AGENDA", do you think Q would work there?
If they can prove something's missing, put up or shut up.
The Gomery is bad enough but it will be significantly worst if results are not leaked to the public who deserve to know. I'd like if Sheila was loosed on the Gun Registry because I'm betting that's a much bigger boondoggle. That will be approaching $2 billion, and although it makes housewives feel safer in Toronto, it hasn't done anything to protect people or officers.
They bought off Jack; they bought off Belinda; they bought off Chuck; they tried to bribe Inky, Nina & Gurmant. All I can say is at least Jack got something for someone else instead of for just himself.
The running joke has been if Mr. Dithers was caught with the proverbial smoking gun, half of the liberals would argue about the lack of smoke and the other half would be praising him for his accuracy and efficiency.
