I've seen this mentioned around the forums quite a few times. I don't get it.
I studied political ideologies and Canadian liberals are nothing near fascists.
I'm quite new to the forums, could somebody explain to me why people make such claims?
Because some people are dumb.
Same reason some liberals call Conservatives fascist, its dumb and kills arguments
No...then what were the Nazis? What was Stalin or Saddam?
Why do the followers of Al Gore shout you down when you question them about global warming? Why do the followers of global warming tell you the debate is over when you attempt a dialog with them?
When you question global warming why does the left call you "a holocaust denier"?
Socialism has killed more people then capitalism ever will....
It's like I said, mapleleafsnation: Some people are dumb.
You're seeing it a bit more lately because some retard columnist in the US just wrote what is possibly the stupidest book in history on how liberals and liberalism is really fascism.
Afterwards, the usual idiots have parroted this meme just like they say Librano all the time.
Then why do the libs accuse people of being holocaust deniers or proclaim the debate is over when we question your god, Mr Gore? Sounds very much like the response of a fascist!
old Liberal movement was the libertarian movement believe it or not. It got hijacked by the Communists (ala Stalin's version which was facism). After some got caught and even executed ie. the Rosenburgs. They in turn highjacked the democractic party. Which are now Liberal facist. But you not allowed to call them that cause they have trademarked the word facism for their use only.
Fine then I will simply call them Stalinist.
ManifestDestiny, define fascism. I want to know what you consider fascism to be. (Don't bring me the Wikipedia definition, wikipedia is the equivalent of a politician saying 'the friend of a friend told me' in a serious study).
Fascism is an authoritarian political ideology (generally tied to a mass movement) that considers the individual subordinate to the interests of the state, party or society as a whole.
