I'll say this once, in my opinion Canada used to be a Neutral nation with its own opinion, many against what Bush was saying when we had a Liberal Government, we would've bee a prime example of someone to go in and negotiage peace between Hizbullah and Israel, but with the Conservative governemnt kissing Bush's ass every five secon ds, i think we've hit a new low.

Frederick Nietzshe -- The Death of the True World & The Birth of the Superman
One of the most valued weapons any extremist ideologue can possess is that of moral capital.
A great deal of moral capital can be liquidated by harnessing one of the most valuable concepts upon which a democratic society is built. This concept is considered one of the cornerstones of any such society -- it is the ever-elusive truth.
Nietzsche actually rejected truth as a prime value of Christian society. Nonetheless, he was able to recognize the relationship between truth and the most dangerous of the seven deadly sins: pride.
Nietzsche posited that truth is always obfuscated in pride. A great deal of pride is invested in one's ability to determine truth from lies -- one of the most necessary tasks involved in judging an individual's character. However, pride is decietful, and can often decieve someone just as well as any lie. When this happens, the individual has, due to their pride, allowed themselves to be decieved. As such, they have decieved themselves.
The world of an extremist ideologue is ultimately one of self-deception. Pride forbids them from considering any idea that would challenge their ideologically paralyzed world view. Any idea or information that does so is immediately dismissed as "propaganda", and is discarded without any consideration of its validity. For the extremist ideologue, there is no open and legitimate debate -- their pride has decieved them into believing they hold a monopoly on the basest forms of truth that make up a unified world view.
Any truths -- even those they are capable of recognizing as true -- that conflict with their ideological view requires either destruction or manipulation in order to fit into the world the extremist ideologue so desperately wants to create. These individuals must possess a unique talent: the ability to tell a lie, or hide the truth, in service of what they consider to be a "higher truth". If they do not have this talent, they must either learn, abandon their aspirations, or align themselves with someone who can lead and direct them.
Their desire to promote the truth leads to the promotion of lies -- regardless of whether they be lies of commission or lies of omission. Ultimately, what these individuals come to advance is a world where a grand "truth" is supported by a house of cards that is built out of lies. In time, their chief concern is avoiding having the pieces of their arguments pulled out from under them.
In many cases, extremist ideologues attempt to resort to science to validate their ideas. Traditional scientific disciplines and theories are subverted in a sinister form of "junk science". The sciences necessary to do this aren't exclusively natural sciences -- the social sciences are equally vulnerable.
Using Nietzsche's theories, this can be traced back to the methods by which truth is conceptualized. Truth, according to Nietzsche, is a "sum of human relations which have been rhetorically or poetically defined".
Before the rise of science, language was the sole tool by which truth was determined. But such truths could often be considered arbitrary. It is this arbitrary manner in which language determines truth hurts its claims to certainty and validity (two key elements of truth). As such, language often produced aesthetic "truthful" relationships between otherwise unrelated concepts. Some such truths often congealed and took root, but this doesn't demonstrate that they are valid, necessary, or justified.
The replacement of language by science as a tool for determing truth has helped to solve some of these problems, but has given rise to problems all its own. First off, science is not immune to the problems that language as a "truth determinor" offers. In the end, science must make use of language to convey concepts of truth, and so must be subject to at least some of its weaknesses -- particularly an openness to manipulation.
Furthermore, science often takes on a dogmatic nature. For those who rely entirely upon science to determine and convey truth, scientific strictness can be used as a crutch to avoid challenging idealism -- as well as avoding the challenges presented by dissenting ideas.
The value of science to advancing the goals of an extremist ideologue simply cannot be ignored. They, like any would-be revolutionary, understand that, at its uper echelons, a great deal of influence is exerted over society by elites. The extremist ideologue understands that, in order to achieve their goals, they must either supplant or subvert this elite. This simply cannot be done without the tools of knowledge and refinement that are offered by science, and are provided by education.
Extremist ideologues advance a world view that can be well described in terms of Nietzschean concepts of the true world.
To these individuals, the world that currently exists -- wherin different ideologies are allowed to exist and flourish, and interact with each other in a fully open and functional marketplace of ideas, represents a Nietzchean "true" world -- "an idea which is no longer good for anything -- an idea which has become useless and superfluous. Consequently, a refuted idea: [it should be abolished]."
Each extremist ideologue's goal, then, is to supplant this world with their vision of what the true world should be: it is a world that is "attainable for the sage, the pious, the virtuous." The extremist ideologue has an inflated sense of how attainable this goal is. This is because they already live in a world like this, one they have created for themselves by constructing an ideologically-insular environment, in which their ideas and beliefs only need withstand the meager criticisms offered by those who are already predisposed to agree with them.
The goal of the extremist ideologue is to expand this world to encompass everyone in their society.
