Regardless of all that, I'll make another supposition, namely that you are likely in a very low tax bracket - it's incongruous for someone in your situation to be complaining about taxes!

You will be paying much more if you want Quebec separated. Yea, you will no longer pay TPS but will pay much more TVQ.
