Neither extreme Islamists or Christians should be tolerated in our society.
An extremist Christian would be Jesus. The more extreme you are at Christianity the more you would love everyone else. So how is that bad for society?
I am utterly humbled by this comment.

I don't think he is concerned about Mennonites or Quakers here, but extreme Christians who wish to impose there strict moral code on all of us through law. Canadian law is, to some extent based on the bible (10 commandments) but that is Jewish Law that has been borrowed by Christianity. At one time our law was Christian and very harsh. Think Wergeld and trial by combat. This was, for its time, Christian law. We killed Protestents (or Catholics) (and I don't mean at war), burned witches, and did other horrible things. Today we look back at those kinds of things in horror. Did we do things because the Bible called us to, or was it just the times they occured in. Muslims do similar things and now we claim it is because their religion is evil. B.S. Islam, developing in democratic lands will most likely evolve the same way as Christianity did. Bomb them into the stone age, and they will live in the stone age.

IRA. (were Christians)
Mmm. Not so fast, there.
The 'Official IRA' (after the 1969 split) was a Marxist organisation led by Cathal Goulding - who professed a love of Soviet Communism - and the other major IRA player, the Provos (or Provisional IRA) was also left-wing.
Sinn Fein was a Marxist influenced group until the Irish Republican Socialist Party split off in 1974 and the IRSP was responsible for several terror attacks and several members have even acknowledged complicity in the murder of Lord Mountbatten.
These fellows were anything but Christians and the good Christians in the
Garda have no qualms, even now, about killing these pukes if they are found and 'resisting' arrest.

They used the Bible to further their own agendas. That is how people ended up perverting it to have slaves by trying to make blacks non-human therefore didn't have to follow the same code with them. There are many people who have done this but it is not really in the Bible. The Bible talks about free will and letting people decide their own path. It also permits you be next to everyone who does not share the same faith as you. You are encouraged to love everyone and be peaceful with every person. No one is lower or greater than anyone and Christians don’t get rewarded for forcing people to convert to their faith either. They are told to spread the word though but through peaceful means.
No, Canadian Laws are NOT based on the Bible. They are based on British Law which is based on many things also not Biblically based.
There are certainly many things in common between British Law and Biblical Law, but if you look around you'll see that all Religions and all Law Systems have much in common with each other.

I see you need to take a Law History class, too. Seriously, it is an interesting subject to study the evolution of law and how it has changed over the generations with the advances in science and understanding.

Ya, I do, but I know enough to know that the Bible is not the basis of Canadian, US, or British Law.

Two things to always remember in regard to law and the courts.
Courts are not concerned with justice but the law. Do not expect to obtain justice from the courts.....don't stake your life on it.
Laws were made by man to deal with earthly issues....the bible or any other theology has little to do with it....especially Sharia Law.
