Since 75% of Canadians believe in the Bible, and majority rules in a democracy, why shouldn't the Bible be entrenched in Constitution and laws and legislation would have to be interpretted on the base of The Bible's words.
I believe it would move us ahead in the 21st century into a thriving Christian Theocracy.
Your thoughts?
Ever hear of Islamic countries? That shit is what you get when you don't seperate church and state...
Better not do that
No, no and Hell no.
Canada is a secular nation, and should always remain so. It is becoming quite clear, westmanguy, that you favour a Christian theocracy where citizens, in particular women, are oppressed and discriminated against. The Holy Bible has no place in the Constitution Acts, 1867–1982. The Senate of Canada, as the High Court of the Parliament of Canada, has ruled that the reference to “God” in our constitution’s preamble is a subjective and interpretive reference, exclusively.
What about our Honourable Senators who pledge to 'tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help me God' ?
Your numbers are laughable and No. The Bible has no place in the Constitution or Government.
Christ himself called for a seperation of Church and State, with his 'Render unto Caesar..." speech
This is one of those times that I think that guns should be perfectly legalized, so I can shoot people like West.
Like a lot of books it ends with,'.....and some of them lived happily ever after.'
Spoiler alert!!
And it should start with: Once upon a time, in a country far, far away...
(no offence!)
where everything was clothing optional and all meals were kosher..... wait I like pork, seafood and mixing dairy and meat, especially ice cream, whip cream and female flesh.
west..i am a catholic but for the sake of posterity we must remain secular..and for those who favor secularism..let god deal with them..all i want to see is the govt to stop caving into the demands of undesirable religions like islam
