When asked why it is always so much easier to unite conservatives than it is to do the same with the left... Franklin D. Roosevelt said it best.

'There are many ways of going forward, but only one way of standing still.'

Well in my humble opinion (I am of center left political orientation) People in the ROC who are on the progressive side should think twice about strategic voting.

Over here it's pretty simple, you vote conservative if you are on the right or Bloc on the left!
The other Party don't stand a chance. (Except for a few riding)

But in the ROC the Conservative will have a field day on election night because you guy's cannot make your mind on one party to defeat the conservative! The math is pretty simple there 60 % of Canadian are leaning left and 40 % leaning right.

My advice take a good look at the debate and if Dion Crash and burn (Very probable) Then I hope that the Liberal supporter will have the common sense to vote NDP.

That's my two cent.

Lol great quote, although I hate this black and white thinking in this country on how if you for change your leftists, if your against change you are rightist. There is a middle ground, this country always tries to label and categorize. It doesn't work, you might be for some things a party supports and for some things another party supports. It's not that simple, there is more to politics then just labeling left and right.

Well yes.. 'left' and 'right' are simply views on economics really. There's much more to it (eg religion, law, etc.). Plus you also always have to take into account integrity.

Only someone who doesn't know left from right would propose 'uniting the left'.
Who the fuck are we supposed to unite with? The 12 people who still vote Marxist?
And where I live you don't get 'strategic voting'. A vote for a Liberal is a vote for the Tories.

 Sorry herbie but that is strategic voting! Like here if you vote NPD or Lib or green you might as well give your vote to the tory. I hope that progressive Canadian will realize that Dion will not win and that the Liberal need to think not about this election but the next one.

Strategic voting is absolutely stupid. Parties receive funding based on the number of votes they get in each riding. Also, even if that party that you would vote for would likely not win, a respectable number of votes for them might encourage other people to vote for them.

The Greens are further to the right than the Regressive Preservatives. Perceptions amongst Canadians is typically Canadian.

That's only strategic voting if you're not really a leftist. If you are a leftist then voting Liberal really is voting Conservative.
