B.C. is one of the most diverse provinces in Canada. We are very multicultural with a wide range of festivals, activities as well as being the recreation capital of canada. I can go camping, golfing, skiing, swimming, hiking, sailing, and fishing all on the same day. You can't say that to be true of other provinces within Canada. If Quebec can recognize itself because of its distinct culture we should be able to as well.

No. Quebec shouldn't be called a nation. Neither should any other province. Quebec should think of something to be called other then a nation, and every other province has the option to be called the same. Or, a name of their choice. Make it so quebec isn't special.

Its too late for that my friend. They think they're superior to everybody else and call us "sub americans" :( It quite clear that their narrowmindedness on matters outside of Quebec is going to contribute to our country's devestation in the future.

Well he is right. The point is to call everyone the same thing.

This country doesn't belong to english or french infact at best we lease it .Trading with first nations colonies is about as close as one could come to having any business being here and that would incude Norse decendants , Italy , and who knows who else .

Quebec certainly is a colony and it would be impossible for them to pledge alegiance to the english other than by what brought this country completely together . This is a country only by those who put the Railroad together from coast to coast and there is literally no other group or reason to call Canada a country not even first nations people could call this a country .

According to dictionarys and encyclopedias there is no room for discussion on the issue of whether they are a nation or not , that was inevitably decided by definition without ever having go through parliament . Harper needs to make a fool of the Bloc by opening any dictionary and addressing it before the entire parliament and then proceeding by asking them what they really want .

Seperatism would either qualify the Bloc as an illegal group in Canada or they would have a right to become a french nation country dependant on this being agreeable with all colonies .Historically speaking , the borders of Quebec would look awfully different than what they currently are to become a country .

I think Alberta needs to be a Nation within Canada and keep are our oil revenues just for Alberta..

Bloody French always fuck everything up, let them go. It will save the nation millions of dollars we give that province every year.

There is a widespread impression that multiculturalism is synonymous with nationhood, time travel and apple pie.
