In the fleet mgt and attack screens, there is a section that says shortcuts and shows your other planets. Anyone know what these are all about?
That's not a lot of defence

It's a shortcut to select your planet instead of typing the coordinates directly.

Yeah, a battleship or two with some cargo ships should get past that and help you rebuild Proc...

I punched it through speed sim and i would only come out with a 67% chance of defeat and a 33% draw. that's about 900 000 units lost and I'm not ready to take those odds.

NAMES DAM IT! NAMES!
Make them give you back what you've lost. We have proven oursleves as a 'winch' when it comes to applying pressure. We are one of, if not the largest, alliances in NUMBERS.
Still a n00b here as well. Just trying to get up and running with a steady stream of materiel. Don't even have any cargo ships yet.
On another note do solar satellites produce more power then ground based solar panels?

It's more of a cost to resource ratio. Solar satelittes are cheaper but produce less energy. Walk softly when fusion reactors come your way!

The lower your planet number (ie, closer to the sun), the more effective solar is in general - if you're away out in the 13-15 range, you will probably get more benefit out of fusion reactors.
The other thing is that a huge array of 100+ solar satellites might attract a raiding fleet, as just about every ship gets rapid fire against them in combat. Obviously you don't have that many now, but I'm going to limit each planet to maybe 20 or so to prevent such raids in the future.
Fusion reactors also use up Deut, so if you have too big a fusion reactor, all your mine's production goes into the fusion reactor...

Even my fleet of 10 BB and assorted support ships aren't guaranteed victory against 345:6. It's mostly because his weapons/shield/armour techs are so high. You're better off launching an overnight raid against 237:5 instead. Fewer defences and just as much resources...
