I had to do this this morning in uni30. Logged on with less than 4 minutes till imminent attack. My fleet was home waiting for me but a strong player ranked about 150 caught the one hour window between my fleet return and my log in. A close call.....
I'll have to try something a little different tonight. I got over 100k deut to hide.
I'm thinking I will ship all my resources on a long trip and then ship them all back quick in the morning.

I also send dozens of probes when I attack because they are dirt cheap and get hit instead of fighters/battleships etc.
From what I've been reading light fighters are best for this(referred to as 'fodder') because they cost the same crystal and they can attack.

Who's in uni 30? I got raped good today while I was at work. 4 times by the same guy, and then I had three fleets headed my way until I deleted my planets. Anyway I'm bailing on 30 so anyone who is in 30 that wants the rest of my resources just give me your coordinates. Right now I have 60k metal 21k crystal and 25k Deut. I have two large transports so first come first served.

I agree, but in the beginning when you can't afford the metal, probes are cheaper (100 fighters costs 300K metal and 100K crystal, but 100 probes cost only 100K crystal). Ghostrider attacked Comma (208:13) with 126 probes, as well as fighters and some cruisers, and wiped his fleet out. When I attacked him, I lost only a dozen probes and a fighter or two.
Someday, I hope to have a fleet of 1000 fighters and 100 battleships (I try to build 10 light fighters for every BB).

Can somebody with a high espionage level check this guy out? My wife's entire fleet just got wiped out on an attack she tried.

FYI, we are at WAR with the W.T.F alliance on universe 14. So if there are any of their members around you, watch your back and plan some attacks.
They are a low ranking alliance, so this is a good chance for members with less than 5000 points to get into the action.
