Brenda's post in the Google Chrome thread lists the IP it's coming from, I've got the warning twice today.

herbie herbie:
Brenda's post in the Google Chrome thread lists the IP it's coming from, I've got the warning twice today.

Everytime when I refresh or go to any thread (on IE), my Avast issues a warning.

The IP resolves to a Russian server. Lots of reports regarding same IP for same problem.
Could be SQL injection, some GIF on the page is infected and causing it.
I'm getting the warning EVERY time I view this thread, sometimes when I view newposts.html
It could also possibly happen if you have any 'search helpers' in your add-ons.
Remember Toolbars Are For Tools. Helpers Are For The Helpless. Accelerators Are For Slow People.

Sorry can't help you here.

Been using Linux since 2006.

Anti Virus Program can be very unreliable even the best one are far from full proof. Be careful out there on the net. And keep in mind that Hacker have now there post doctorate in Win XP.

And the fact that Microsoft has release ALL there source code to the Chinese should make anyone using Microsoft Product worry!

Strutz Strutz:
A couple of months ago while I was logged in here Norton blocked a hijack attempt. I wrote down the IP address for reference it case it happens again. I haven't had any warnings pop up about this site though.

Please publish the IP address so we can get it dealt with.

Canadaka Canadaka:
I have tried the site in IE, Firefox, Chrome, Safari. i dont have any problems...

can someone send a screenshot.

I suspect it could be one of the Google ads maybe.
I checked all the CKA files on the server, none have been changed recently besides the cache files. So there is no sign of a hack on the site.

What pages does it happen on?
I can't replicate the problem... so hard for me to fix

If it helps you any - I use 'noscript' and don't allow Google-Analytics or GoogleAPIs to run unchecked. And I don't get the warnings. Active online virus defence (KAV) also recorded no hostile activity.

Google may be your vector.

When I use Google Chrome, I get a big red screen, warning me not to go to this site because it is infected with malware. I'm using Firefox right now, and hoping to hell it's not true.

Andy, I had the EXACT same thing thing happen to me. I'm using Firefox as well.

looks like there's already a thread about it, and we're not alone. I just hope that this is an error, and there aren't little bugs crawling in my computer as we speak.

You are supposed to have a link in the red screen to see exactly why the website is flagged.

Yep. I followed that but couldn't make much sense of the result. On the one had it said no malicious activity for the last 3 days or something, otoh it said it's a site that has malware on it. And it doesn't really explain what it has to do with CKA.

What about all the links, youtubes etc we post here. Could one of those be the problem?

Proculation @ Wed Jul 07, 2010 9:54 am

I suspect the ads too because I have nothing with Chrome running a no-ad script.

Proculation @ Wed Jul 07, 2010 9:56 am

Like I said in the other thread, I suspect a malicious ad.

EyeBrock @ Wed Jul 07, 2010 9:59 am

martin14 @ Wed Jul 07, 2010 10:01 am
