I finaly broke down and bought myself a new monitor today! I had been using the same dual 17" CRT monitors for a good 7 years. I held off on LCD's for a long time because the colour range was not their and for gaming there was still screen lag.

But now with LCD's with 2ms response time and 3000:1 contrast ratio, their time has more than come.
I mus say i'm amazed at the quality of these Samsung 226BW 22" Widescreen monitors!

The colour looks amazing, all my websites colour looks so different now! And so much room, i hanv't even tried any games out yet, thats gunna be sweet.

Last week I got an acer lcd widescreen for about $160.00 at Wally world.I replaced my 30 pound humoungus Compaq 7750 monitor with this sleek slim LCD. Only problem I got now is I turned all the graphics up on my flight sims to take advantage of the widescreen and now my pc crashes before it loads all the scenery.

I got the ol' Moniter back from when Windows 98 was fast! Gotta love handmidowns, I'll get a flat screen ina bout 6-12 years,

My mother actually has one, Very nice!

I even have a spare flag for when the old one needs to be washed.

   

Yah I like flags, I want to hang more, I want a BC flag. Right now I have a Canadian, United Kingdom & EU flag.

Just tested out some BF2 gaming with the new monitor, wholy shit its so much nicer, its SO BIG! heh

   

So big and so much more room on the desk.Sure makes my flight sims look good(the ones I can play)Wish I could hook the laptop up to it though,it has more ram for my sims.

I'll trade you a Nunavut flag for a tee-shirt.

Got a Canada flag too, but it's on the opposite wall ^^ but a Canadian Girls is always "watching" me

I have a 17 inch CRT as well and used to have a 15 but my friend wanted it so we traded. I don't think I have ever bought a monitor. I either just found them or someone gave them to me. My next computer will probably just be a laptop then can do away with this desktop all together.

The LCD screens are tough also,I froze my laptop a few times and thought the screen would be hooped but after it warmed up everything was good.We have avoided getting a widescreen at camp because of fears of what the weather would do to it but thats for tv. Dont know if there any different then one used for a pc.

   

How do these compare to Acer LCD's? I've been thinking for getting one..
