Yes why are Liberals in here giving advice and criticism?

Maybe the cons should pick your leader, what traits should he have, lets look at the present shall we.

Is he Canadian or French? Is he a separatist or a federalist? Is he gay or not? Is he a liar? he’s a liberal of course he is.

Delwin @ Mon Dec 18, 2006 10:24 am

Well I happened to like the current method. Trevor offered the position like a scrap from the dinner table and Riden and Ruez fought for it like a couple of ravenous pitbulls. Seems more befitting to me.

hwacker @ Mon Dec 18, 2006 10:37 am

It must be change to see people like you describe as Pitbulls fighting cause we all know the Liberal party is full of poodles and they only hump their masters. Yep I can see where you’re coming from. Enjoy the show.

No one offered advice or criticism. Some Liberals offered only expressions of respect for one of your team. If that sparks your jealousy, you might want to consider why he has earned respect across partisan lines where you apparently haven't, nor has ridenrain. Sorry you're not admired as much as your colleague. Some people achieve respect, others don't. If you must hate Ruez for being better and smarter than you it only reflects poorly upon you.

This is great ! What better way to tear a con community to bits then to ask them to make a decision. Brilliant Trevor, simply brilliant. :D
This is great, Delwin being an unobservant asshole. What else is a surprise. Yeah, it's really torn us apart. Too bad it only Riden who is freaking out, the rest of us are good.
Not so tricks, from what I gather, Alta_redneck, ShepherdsDog, Dubyah, and riden all have expressed some concern about the nomination, and we have yet to hear from clogaroo, eyebrock & others. But don't kill the messenger, shouldn't you be chastising a fellow con or something?

Sorry Delwin, it wasn’t who volunteered that got me to voice my concerns, it was the process in which it came down. Being an Albertan, I really have problems with Liberals that stick their noses where it don’t belong. Was there a memo sent out that we needed to pick a group leader ? Maybe I missed it. I have absolutely nothing against Ruez ( and I hope I spelled that right ) :D and he got caught in the middle and that was unfortunate. If their was feelings hurt, I apologize.

If you actually read it, Ruez and I are not fighting in the least. I definately don't have a problem with him. My problem is the fact that there are more Liberals in this thread than Conservatives.
Again, why are you Liberals even here?
No one has answered that one yet.

No thanks, the Liberals and NDP groups are happy to respect the person who volunteers to do it. Right now I think Trevor is the Liberal's gatekeeper and Streaker does it for the NDP group and I'm not aware of anyone feeling slighted or that we need some sort of ridiculous vote for this little administrative function.

We really don't see what the big deal was with the Conservative Group - how such a minor thing could have such enormous significance to the guys there who felt they lost some popularity contest.

(Edited to correct name of NDP group-leader - my mistake - I identified Tricks as the NDP group leader which is, of course, not right. It is Streaker who is our leader in that group. :)

I've answered that often - you just didn't like my answer because it didn't feed your indignation.

News to me. 8O

Streaker is lead dipper.

It's sad when someone can be so blinded politically that they can't or won't see any good in their opponents. :(

Now THAT is funny.

I am here to learn. This thread has become a great lesson in the political process. It is very reminiscent of the political systems in place circa 10,000 B.C., Where the candidate with the biggest stick made the decisions. Intriguing, please continue.

I was going to say I would be curious to see who they'd choose, but maybe not. After looking at his criteria, I can see it's just another opportunity to insult.

You know I kinda wonder who they would choose for us too. ;)

Ride, why not start a thread proposing an election for the Conservative leader?

After all this, I think an election for Con leadership would be most amusing to observe. :P
