These "drones" are toys, yes, but very intrusive ones in the hands of people with an agenda.
There must be privacy laws that protect one's property from surveillance.
Can you imagine the nightmare over some celebrities' properties if the paparazzi deployed them? You'd need air traffic control!

What happens to the birds after they're shot? 15,000 birds in one shooting sounds like an awful lot to eat. If they're only shooting them for sport, not to eat, then the animal rights people have a point here. Disgusting.

From what is stated in the article it sounds like they are just dumped in a pile like garbage to rot.

Depends on the source of the birds, if they are caught from cities then it is no different from gopher hunts, simply a cheap population control.

Those shooters sure are real sportsmen. We don't torture vermin either. If the birds are already caught, there are humane ways to kill them, not feed somebody's blood lust.

Really? I find it so be a better way of doing it because it doesn't guarantee death, tons of pigeons survive and go free. If I had to choose between certain death and a chance at survival, no matter how slim, my choice would be quite obvious.
