Yes because I trust my fellow Canadians to think for themselves even when being exposed to vile ideology. We are strong enough to listen to the rants of people and nor just get swayed by a charismatic speaker.

(anybody get the reference yet?)

Yes, in reference to his beliefs, but what about the active funding?
Letting him into Canada would be akin to condoning his attempts to make connections and gain funding from within this country.
Like has been said, he can shit out his mouth over the net if he wants, why make him welcome?

No, the pop culture reference involving Dr. Bob.

Oh, sorry, WKRP wasn't it?

[B-o] yep.

Great show. Canceled far to early.

Good show, my favourite episodes were the phone cops and the alcohol reflex tests.

DerbyX @ Fri Mar 20, 2009 4:43 pm

THAT was a classic episode. Getting faster and faster the drunker he got. :D

I don't think Rumsfeld is a canard at all. He's a perfect example of my argument. There's a guy who materially assisted a terror regime, and he's allowed into Canada anytime (presumably). It's just he supported the right terrorists at the right time.

If the government could actually some kind of security threat George Galloway presents, that would be one thing. But I don't think he is a security threat. Never mind george Galloway, I don't even think Hamas is much of a security threat to Canada.

One doesn't have to be considered a threat to be deined legal access across national borders. We have the right to determine for ourselves what kind of person we do or don't want to come into our country regardless if it's a temporary visit or for permanent residence.

George Galloway supports identifiable terrorist groups. He's quoted as calling for the assassination of US and British political leaders who don't share his views. He has regularly associated himself with those Islamic fascist factions who want to see Israel destroyed and all the Jews killed in a second Holocaust. None of these are Canadian values. As such he has no right to expect entry into our country while our government and laws, including laws brought into existence by the sensible side of the Liberal party, have determined that Galloway and his beliefs are not wanted in Canada and will not be given a public forum on Canadian soil.

It doesn't get much more black-and-white than that.

What a suprise.. Supporters of the partys that support Hamas, Hezbola, Tamil Tigers and Sihk extreemists are upset that we don't let this asshole in also.

New Lord Haha can say whatever he likes but he crosssed the line when he handed them money. It's an example of how low the empire has fallen that this man is allowed to remain in Brittish parliament.

He should be arrested. There's no anti-terrorism laws in UK ?

You supported the contras, the northern alliance, the US in Iraq, the US helping mujahideen warriors like mohammed omar.

You supported your own group of terrorists for your own reasons.

ridenrain @ Fri Mar 20, 2009 4:56 pm

None of those were taking Canadian money and using it to fight Canadian soldiers at the time. Did the change in canada's government change who our allies were also?

DerbyX @ Fri Mar 20, 2009 5:01 pm

Hamas, Hezbola, Tamil Tigers and Sihk extreemists.

None of them are fighting Canadian soldiers either.

ridenrain @ Fri Mar 20, 2009 5:09 pm

It's you're analogy, not mine.
Sihk extreemists did blow up Ait India and kill almost 300 Canadians though.

Galloway is handing money to the Taliban who are fighting Brittish, American and Canadian troops. That's treason.

DerbyX @ Fri Mar 20, 2009 5:12 pm

Compared to how many dead caused by the US?

Compared to the US support of Saddam and Iraq?

Compared to the US support of the very same guy who started the Taliban responsible for the deaths of 116 Canadian soldiers.

You sit on your high horse thinking all your causes are just regardless of how much death and destruction follows it and you simply ignore it when "your side" support terrorism.

ridenrain @ Fri Mar 20, 2009 5:16 pm

You dodge the basic fact of why we all hate this man. He is gathering money and popular support to kill our allies and our fellow Canadians. That's it.

If he was just talking, he's be no worst than Layton but he's gone much father than that, and that makes him a trator.

I think the true traitors are those who do not understand the very things that separate us from them.

Again, you went off on your usual rant with cloaked references about the Liberals and their supporters supporting terrorists when you yourself are a supporter of terrorism.

You just mitigate yours to yourself.

ridenrain @ Fri Mar 20, 2009 5:25 pm

Dodge.
Stop rationalizing this.

If I raised money to have you killed, I would be just as guilty as the murderer himself for I called and paid for the murder.

These are not fictional, abstract people but the same Canadians as you and me. The money this crap gives to the Taliban gos into buying the IEDs that are killing our countrymen.

If our troops werent dying, I might play this political game but, right now I have no tolerance for it.
