I think some people have nothing to do, so it will be better fo them to clean streets of own city, help homeless people with food and clothes or do any good volunteere work. So what if there is a cross. My land belonged to Poland few hundred years ago, but we don't touch Adam Mizkewich monument, he is and he is, we are not polish people and that's not Poland, but who cares about that monument.

“We’re arguing for equal treatment in some way, whatever that might be,” Kagin said after the hearing.

Maybe we can have a corner of the museum where nothing is there and call it the atheist monument.

I love that statement.

Maybe somebody should explain to them that "addition through subtraction" ends up with everybody having nothing.

That has nothing to do with the issue about state sponsored religion. But then the complaint doesn't have anything to do with it either.

I recall during that time when so many people died needlessly, firefighters were morning losses , and the nation was in shock.
Look at the fucking image and you can feel the pain.

So out of the rubble a piece of metal in the shape of a cross was decided to be a sign from God and hope. It mustered people's faith, and they worshiped it, literally.
But this is due to their faith , which they will fight for.
It got them through tough times as does so many religions of mankind.

You want to piss on that!

You feel your above that to the point an iconic image that rallies the mourners and the still bereaving is something to be mocked.

It's part of of the human race and it's at the very least a coping mechanisms.

It's cheaper than drugs and alcohol and less damaging.

There is nothing fanatical going on with this piece except in those that mock and piss on it.

Uhhh, don't you think you should have thought about "whatever that might be" before spouting off and crying like a 6 yr old girl?

"We want equal treatment. I have no idea what that would entail but we want it anyway"
What a maroon.

Monument of Mizkewich was built much earlier.

This is the exact reason why at least Equal time is the right thing to do. Christians were not the only ones to have died there.

So what do YOU want? A big "zero" to signify what you believe in? A statue of Darwin maybe?

You see, just because you don't believe in any deities doesn't automatically infer the right upon you to be offended by people who do, or their symbols.

You atheists can be a funny lot, and I don't mean funny as in "haha".
You'll visit a site where thousands of people were essentially murdered, but the only thing that offends you is a cross erected from some of the rubble of 9/11.

Yeah but this was the only religious iconic figure they found and used at the time.

there were no Menorahs or those Islamic symbols or any Genesa figures to be found.

i'm sure if some twisted metal came up in the form of Shiva you would have seen it.

Let them have their cake and eat it to . They paid the price and are still paying it.
it's about this moment is it not?

Maybe the atheists should have searched harder through the rubble for a picture of Sigmund Freud, they didn't so tough shit .

PublicAnimalNo9 @ Tue Mar 11, 2014 12:30 pm

So...do these particular atheists wet their pants every time they come across a lower case "t"?

Fundamentalist retards: They're not just for religions anymore.

PublicAnimalNo9 @ Tue Mar 11, 2014 12:37 pm

I like the idiot that clamed the sight of the cross caused him "mental anguish".

Yeah, the dude goes to a memorial on a site where several thousand people were murdered within minutes, but he's all fucked up over a cross.

If the guy is THAT unstable, maybe he'd be best served by checking himself into Bellevue for 72hrs of observation.

ShepherdsDog @ Tue Mar 11, 2014 12:39 pm

intersections and addition must really fuck him up.....or does he have issues with garlic, mirrors and other holy relics too?
