Cuts to the quick., Shep.

Sorry you buy into that tarbaby.

BTW, I'm glad you sussed out that lickspittle wasn't complimentary. Just a shame you couldn't have risen to the challenge and come back with something a little more original that "dumbfuck"

Mr_Canada Mr_Canada:
What gives you that idea? This is suggested constantly too without any strings of reality attached.

That they are using big scary sticks and aren't the ones with harmless happy guns tells me that are probably not the most wealthy.

I have to ask this first....

Do you support what how these "anarchists" get their message across ?

ShepherdsDog @ Sat Jun 26, 2010 6:08 pm

It seems to be tested and true in your case, so why confuse you with big words? I figured that since you were so proud with being able to use your Readers Digest word, that I'd allow you some small satisfaction. Now if you want me to be more alliterative and succinct in my criticisms of you and your views, just say so.

I see a bunch of suburban kids smashing windows, while bewildered people stand and watch in fear.

Actually it's all rather amusing. This reminds me of the France riots a few years ago, but everything is so eerily backwards.

There's a troupe of 'visible minority' security guards there trying to stop some spoiled suburban brats from smashing up the store they were contracted to stand in front. All the while, being...oh so polite.

Well, until the car burning that is.

Decided to visit the parents in the boonies, best to sit this one out. Downtown Toronto looks like the Gaza strip with all the blockades.

Mr_Canada Mr_Canada:
The main question I hear over and over again is 'why can't they be peaceful wah'.
Well, because it's really not supposed to be. Oh, it is for the G20 leaders of
course. In their cozy little hotel reading from their scripts.

And it is SO damn cute that we allow Freedom of Speech as long as it's at the
barrel of a gun and parade around the peaceful protesters like the cute sad
pawns they are made to be. So they get to say: "See, these guys are peaceful.
All protesters should be passive like this! Don't resist! Resistance is MEAN,
it's UNNECESSARY, your cause is USELESS, you must fight for NOTHING because
RESISTANCE IS FUTILE." Then, of course, the message of the peaceful is discarded,
just like that of the violent. If you're going to ignore, why not crank the volume.

For the 'violent' protesters, it's not an option for this summit to be peaceful.

Why? Cause they're pissed off. Why are they pissed off?
There's plenty of reasons, read a few of them.

No excuse? Disagreed.

Vandalism and violence is NOT freedom of speech. It's criminal.

Some alliteration and brevity would take you a long way. As for lickspittle, I just happened to have read that many many years ago and found its application most apropos. Feel free to dig out your Readers Digest big word at any moment.

Mr_Canada Mr_Canada:
I should note that I don't fit your description, I'm pissed off and I'm barely even in the fucking middle class.

MC, you do realise that you're not helping him by not going quietly into your pigeonhole? :D

Bad lefty!

'K. So what was the blameworthy offense of those in the designated protest area around Queen's Park? Breathing left?

Mr_Canada Mr_Canada:
The statement you are referring to Proc is this, correct?

$1:

barrel of a gun
This is in regards to all of the protesters.

Boxed in, watched, allowed to say what they want because no one is listening,
just shields and clubs and cameras.

Remember, some people are more free than others.

They are not protesters. They are criminals profiting the situation to vandalize and steal.
It always the same thing. In the riots in Montreal after Canadiens victory, 100% of those arrested didn't see the match. 100% !

Scape @ Sat Jun 26, 2010 6:23 pm

Whose dumb idea was it to hold this in TO in the 1st place? Plenty of wide open spaces in the north and security wouldn't cost billions to boot. Whoever planed this WANTED protests.

I don't really understand what you are trying to say ?
I'm talking about the criminals, not the protesters. You can protest but it needs to be peacefully. Else, it's a crime.

That, I totally agree.
