Not the status quo. The Libs are the big loser here.
Despite a crap Tory campaign they got 20 more seats. What does that say about the Libs?
Add in that the Liberals have two heir-apparents who are on different ends of the political spectrum.
A plague on both their houses is about to happen, but first they will be out for Dion.
And for those upset Liberals, all I can say is, welcome to you're wilderness years.
In the immortal words of Kent Brockman: "And I, for one, welcome our new insect overlords".
Congratulations to teh Conservatives, Prime Minster Harper and (begrudgingly) to his supporters on these threads.
Zip, the Tories got the result they deserved from a badly run campaign, but thanks anyway!
yeah 250 million for an election every two years is starting to get old ...quick.
Not much point in the much talked about Liberal-NDP coalition is there?
Even combined they don't even come close to the number of seats held by the Conservatives.
To all the folks suffering from Harper Derangement Syndrome I say
Just looking for the election map on CBC, I see the Conservative Greg Rickford unseated Liberal Roger Valley in my home riding of Kenora. Bonus!
PEI also elected a Conservative this time around, good for them
That's why you have all those warnings. Because of your neutral approach.
I take it suggest that Harper will be sucking Duceppe's cock is another example of you saying whatever is on your mind and not partisan? My 2 year old says whatever is on her mind too.
$250 million dollars is less than was wasted on a defunct firearms registration system and we are not where we were in 2006.
Harper has gained seats and the Liberals lost out big. Also Harper was punished for saying stupid things. Despite that he was close to a majority. Not a bad effort really.
There will be a leadership battle in the Liberal party which will see right-of-centre Iggy or well left Bob take over.
So it's a different political landscape and I believe democracy is worth $250 million. You can go and spout off whatever is on your mind away now.
From what I've seen so far, Liberals are calling for Harper to resign, and Conservatives are calling for Dion to stay.
Very telling.
In what way?
