Let's get a close up & see what that tape says:

Yup. Good old Liberal values.
Instead of spewing out political jackassery why don't you contribute to the discussion by offering constructive criticism? People who roar the loudest and have the biggest ego are usually weak minded.

I want an actual child care program for my children not some two hundred dollar handout from the government. Many of you don't realize the importance of a national childcare program. This will save single parents tremendous amounts of money. They need all the help they can get.
And after 12 years the Liberals finally came up with something only to try and hold on to power. What would they have done if there was no threat of them losing?

Is this a rhetorical a question? It seems as though you already know the answer to this question. I believe you want me to write is "nothing"? Am I correct in your assumption? What about the issues that i have presented to you? What have the Conservatives accomplished so far that is beyond the ability to favour tax cuts, cuts to social programs, military spending and child tax handouts in the mail?

So none of you believe that a national childcare program, the kyoto accord, environmental sustainability and the kelowna accord are important?
Canadaka Canadaka:
you Conservatives would be saying the same thing no matter who won.
I think tonight the right decision was made selectiong Dion or Kennedy. Rae would have tilted the scales too far to the left, Ignatieff to far to the right.
Canadians are in the center, that is where the Liberal party is and why its been so successful, and will be once again. The Progressive Conservatives could play in this turf, but this new Conservative party, especially under harper are too far to the right, and the results from the January election show this.
The Liberals will be back in 2007.
Absolutely not. I would have been moderately concerned had Iggy won.
Iggy was the best choice by far if I was too pick, Rae would be a disaster in Ontario and Dion...I mean really....there's no good way you can spin this. This guy is a nobody to 3/4 of Canadians and his broken English will not appeal to Canadians.
Harper's not going to pull a Mulroney, he's following through on the majority of his big promises, something Liberals aren't familar with and gaining the trust of Canadians. He's not going to jump in because Canadians are unhappy as they were with Mulroney and Martin/Chretien.
Once Canadians see that Dion was hand picked by Chretien and his scandal ridden party, it's all down hill.
I really like his emphasis on the 3 pillars. economic prosperity, social justice and environmental sustainability

I think it's really important that Canadians not elect a leader who carries around a knapsack.
He'll look pretty geeky at a G7 meeting digging into a knapsack looking for a breath mint.

Answer the question. It doesn't matter if he looks geeky or not as long as he can get the job done. Thats whats most important.
Shame on you Toro stop the lies or prove that he had anything to do with that. It seems to me a report was done on that and the ones involved are now gone. This is a new clean start with new ideas. Sound familar tory weasles?

Well, I'm wanting you to reconsider your opinion about that national childcare program. It's based on what we have in Quebec since some years and if it has not been a disaster, it's not too far from it:
Other private daycare centers are closing because they can't compete with the sponsored system. The public system can't give enough daycare places for everybody so less than 50% have access to it even if they pay for it. That situation is getting worse. It costs us billions. And even if it's mean to help the poors, only the richer have advantages to use the program. I guess that's not really a liberal value, helping the riches and disadvantage the poors.

From what I've read, it's been far over budget, every year, year after year too. It's the classic example of big government/big taxes taking a good idea and making a career out of it.
Is the goal to help out the children and families or to create another money vampire?

Dion admits Liberals' Kyoto goal impossible
Ex-minister first in party to say 2012 targets out of reach
OTTAWA - Former environment minister Stephane Dion has conceded that a future Liberal government would be unable to meet its Kyoto commitment of reducing greenhouse gas emissions below 1990 levels.
The Conservatives will steam roll the liberals in the next election.
