WTF are those yellow lines in the parking lot for anyways? They supposed to mean something?

Curbstones to protect the rock.
Also a no parking zone, obviously you shouldn't get in the way of Darwin.

Says the man who can't understand sarcasm and is dumb enough to slam on his brakes when being tailgated?

When I had the print shop we ad a line of "You SUCK at parking!" cards, 12 to a pack, they were popular.
Up here where I gotta truck, I don't need no rules, soon as it snows everyone forgets where the parking lanes were and F35s with 2 ft lifts are in the handicapped spot.
Yesterday some dink was parked in the pedestrian walk, so close to the supermarket the automatic doors were opening and closing...

I guess the takeaway here is that rocks in Calgary can outsmart the drivers.

Oh sorry, I couldn't see your sarcasm for all the stupidity you throw around here.

Just look at the rest of your post, seriously which elementary school did you
flunk out of ?

That could probably be said for drivers anywhere!

That one comment in the article made me laugh though. "Poor misunderstood rock".

I can relate. I don't give a shit what other drivers are doing behind me long as they're not flashing red & blue lights...
Funniest thing ever happened was a guy flipped me the bird when I passed him on the highway - and I was driving a 660cc Japanese minitruck! He should've died of embarrassment.

You must have met my friend Rob.
Honk the horn and flip the bird at anyone going 10km over the limit.
Hilarious. :P

I just saw the Calgary guy yelling racist remarks in the grocery store... so the only idea that comes to mind to stop people hitting the rock would be to paint the damn thing white! [door]

Hey now, you're from the land of mosque shoot-ups and Aryan rallies, pal. Glass house, stones, and such. Image

And finally, after an outcry from the community, it was relocated to a new home, where it can live out its days in peace, with the appreciation it deserves, safe from oblivious motorists.

That rock Calgary drivers kept hitting has found a new home where it can be appreciated forever

Good God, I mentioned this story to friends who moved back here from The Pass... she told me they had hit that rock... there was no way to not hit that rock.

I believe her. I've ridden with her husband....

Hopefully cyclists and skateboarders can avoid it! Looks like it's in a safer place.

Funny how something like this can attract so much attention in a community and bring people together.

Good idea! We should dig a deep pit and fill it with crocodiles as a "community bonding" project!
