In Edmonton, they remove these things when they build the parking lot. Also, Edmonton drivers are required to take a vision test.
The rock could be a glacial erratic but Calgary drivers appear to be glacially spasmodic.

More like full blown spastic. You guys have no idea what it's like here most of the time. Latest and greatest trend is hauling ass and tailgating in the right lane when the left lane is completely wide open. I figure there's been a fall from about eighty to seventy in terms of collective driver IQ points in the last five years alone.
What the hell is it about driving that turns what are probably at least somewhat intelligent individuals into drooling knuckle-draggers as soon as they get behind the steering wheel of a vehicle?

People do that to me, all the time. My tactic is to slow down, gradually, until they fuck off. I'm in no rush to die.

I assume it's the desire to spend as little time unproductively as possible. As if driving home doing 130 in a 110 zone is going to save them the 3 minutes they were going to use to finally cure cancer.

I've done that for years. For some reason it doesn't seem to work anymore. They're apparently intent on doing something to my ass without even buying me dinner and getting me drunk first.
You boys aren't being enthusiastic enough with the brakes.
You should fix that.

Being inside the car gives the driver a sense of anonymity and it also dehumanizes the other drivers on the road. The other drivers become non-persons and it becomes somehow acceptable to be rude and aggressive to them.
I just bought a dash cam and I fully intend to start posting video of on-road stupidity to out these jerks as the jerks that they are.

WTF are those yellow lines in the parking lot for anyways? They supposed to mean something?

From the looks of things they are aiming points or guide lines....

Ok, hadn't thought of it that way, but you're probably right. Dash cam is a good idea.

Curbstones to protect the rock.
Also a no parking zone, obviously you shouldn't get in the way of Darwin.

Spent most of Sunday watching nothing but road rage vids on YouTube. Gonna load up on dash and rear view cameras someday. The way things are going the insurance companies are probably going to start offering discounts to anyone with cameras installed and in a few more years they might demand that drivers have them installed before they'll be insured.
Once again, just another example of the many having to pay the price for bad behaviour and piss-poor upbringing of the few.

First gear with an engine brake... Even if they have a dashcam, no way to prove you brake-checked them.

I have a front and rear facing cam, and have turned over stills and video of drivers faces and license plates to the RCMP a couple times. One cam also has speed included on the video courtesy of the internal GPS.
And I only consider that if someone is being extremely dangerous. Like, right on my bumper doing 115 passing a rig, then brake checking me for not passing the rig fast enough is one example.
