I know I lean Republican and I support McCain, but this is very interesting.

I believe the Democrats will self-destruct, as the Obama/Clinton divide is huge in the party, and this bitter battle will go to the August convention.

Oh what a great day to be Republican in the USA

I might vote for Hillary.

Oh please don't tell me your one of those silly Republicans who doesn't think McCain is right wing enough...

He is a good change for the GOP, takes it back to the Reagan-style moderatism.

And he is the GOP's only chance in hell of winning.

westmanguy @ Wed Mar 26, 2008 12:59 pm

Well it doesn't really matter. Washington state is a Democratic stronghold.

Iowa, PA, New Hampshire, and Ohio are the swing states in play

Maybe I think it would be bad for him to win. The downticket effect especially in 2010 is going to be awful.

The Log Cabin Reeps are a pretty sizable group. And they're good Republicans, for the most part.

I find it entertaining that the Democrats have this big chance of winning even if the Republicans put Jesus Christ as their nominee, and now that chance has just vanished into thin air. I love the Democrats, they ARE the best thing to happen to the Republican party in a long time

kenmore @ Wed Mar 26, 2008 1:15 pm

thats a no brainer... the US have had enough of Bush and the republicans to last 100 yrs.... so for the democrats its a shoe in.. beside the crap over the wars and 9/11... bush has put the US economy in the toilet... that will ensure a democrat win... just hope its hillary as Pres and Obama as Vice...

YOUR_DEAD @ Wed Mar 26, 2008 1:18 pm

McCain wouldn't be a bad choice, but I would have liked to see a Colin Powell/Condi Rice ticket or Powell/Westley Clark.

You ignored a crapload of what I said. I said that the Democrats went from a sure win to a close competition due to their own foolishness. When the actual race happens, McCain is just gonna use the dirt Hilary and Obama dug up on each other. You completely fail at reading.

Oh and Your_Dead, I do agree that Colin Powell/Rice ticket would be very powerful, but like I said, anything with even the remote connection with Bush starts up conspiracy theories and such, even with both of them being powerful and strong figures in both the party and the nation, however Clark is a Democrat, so I don't think Powell would choose him as his VP

westmanguy @ Wed Mar 26, 2008 1:37 pm

What I would like to see is:

McCain/Powell ticket up against Hillary/another white person in November.

That would be huge...where would the black vote go...
