You've got to respect the fact that she decided to run in the riding she wanted to be in, and not just one she might have had had the best chance.

No she is a moron, she just announced that she is going to run in the same riding against Peter MacKay in the next election.

Actually she said she is going to run in the next by-election where ever it's being held:

$1:
May also told reporters that she wants to stay on as leader if the party will have her, and that she will seek a seat in Parliament in the earliest possible byelection.

This will give Canadians across the country the opportunity to tell her to @%&^ off!

Thats not what she said on the live talk radio show "Maritime Morning with Andrew Krystal" she said she would run against Peter MacKay in the next election. Of course I wouldnt doubt that she changes her story based on what her mood ring tells her. Wouldnt be the first time it happened....

May is a traitor and she is selling out our Canadian sovereignty to a vast international organization that was spawned by the World WildLife Fund and Prince Phillip....

You have a lot of anger, don't you?

HRH the Prince Philip was the inspiration behind the original WWF network of religions and conservation in 1986. In 1995 he founded the Alliance of Religions and Conservation (ARC) and he has continued to support the charity ever since. ARC writer Victoria Finlay interviewed him, to find out how it all began.

I'm trying, but all I smell coming from you is BS. Still--good fertilizer for the roses later.

Elizabeth May being turfed is very satisfying.

Why? Do you prefer a ruling party that is so cynical and arrogant that it doesn't even release a campaign platform until the last week of the campaign, doesn't care about science, factual information, or freedom of speech, and breaks its own laws in an attempt to grab more power?

The Conservatives love an ignorant electorate, and they know just how ignorant their base is, which makes them all easy prey every time.

Eisensapper Eisensapper:
What lie? The Libs couldnt prove to enough Canadians that it would work...

You mean they couldn't boil it down to a thirty second soundbite so that the lazy and ignorant could make no sense of something they didn't care about anyway.

One important thing for a party leader, make it into parlament.

This never happens over night. With the media and other parties doing everything they can to prevent democracy from happening in this country, it's an uphill battle if you're not already well-established with a large base.

$1:
Considering she is running against one of the most popular Conservatives, i dont see this happening. She did come in second, but with close to 6000 less votes what MacKay had.

Probably only because of low voter turnout. If more people had bothered to vote, I'm sure that Stephen Harper as Prime Minister would now be a laughable memory, and Elizabeth May might have her seat.

So...it's just a coincidence that there are Green Parties in just about every western nation and they are not affiliated, do not share common goals and have nothing in common? 8O 8O 8O 8O

ha, ha!! Isn't that what the Conservatives doing? Selling out Canada and it's resources to multinational oil conglomerates and big business?

mtbr mtbr:
her arrogance cost her :P

I'm glad she's out the fat cow is a blemish on Canadian democracy, just a whore for the Liberal party.

What is undemocratic about parties deciding not to run candidates against each other in order to defeat another party?

I think that trying to keep parties from speaking on national television because you can't stand the competition is far more undemocratic.

So Elizabeth May was the only answer to everything you've just posted? The Liberals love a dependant electorate.

If you really need to ask this question then you know nothing of democracy to begin with.
