Boeing built a turd. I will not fly on one of these.

Agreed.
The software was needed because the damned thing wants to crash without a software band aid for an inherent design problem.
Screw that.
Robair and LLama66 thanks for keeping us updated on this. I'm finding it interesting.
The current large airline duopoly is a challenge for local regulators. They must be under massive pressure to support the home team.

I hope they don't 'fix' the problem before the end of April. I'm supposed to be flying on one of them at that time.

you won't be flying a 737-MAX 8.... the entire fleet is grounded.

Boeing’s stock is taking a hit, apparently it’s already lost $25 billion.
llama66 @ Mon Mar 18, 2019 11:07 am
looks like its trending up a wee bit.
Ooops. Chatter is that a few nations are looking at permanently grounding/banning these aircraft because of the inherent instability issue.

Air Canada Suspends Boeing 737 MAX Deliveries
$1:
Air Canada said Tuesday that it is suspending deliveries of Boeing Co.'s BA 737 MAX aircraft following the deadly March 10 crash of Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 and the grounding in the company's planes over Canadian airspace.
Now is the time to invest in Airbus stock.
Let me know when stocks really get low. Like $25 a share so I can buy some. To me a dip of $8 when it's still over $300 is just a drop in the bucket. I know it's drastic for uber rich people who can afford to buy stock at those rates. The common person is like yeah screw that I still can't afford to buy even 1 share. Let alone buy shares in the 100's at a time.

Might be time to invest in Boeing, because you know they'll be bailed out.
US orders review of 737 Max licence to fly
$1:
Canada, which ground the aircraft before the US, said it would independently certify the 737 Max in the future, rather than accepting FAA validation.
