geez, they need their version of Moses.

The world does. I read an stat a while ago that blew my mind. There are more people in slavery today, 2015, than the entire length and breadth of the Atlantic slave trade.

And F1 is nowhere near as corrupt as FIFA. With F1 it's largely one guy. With FIFA its systemic.

I'm waiting for the connection to the Vatican to come to light.

John Oliver showed off FIFA's endemic malfeasance last year.

Zipperfish Zipperfish:
Or this from the same article:

$1:
In Qatar, the workers building the stadiums for World Cup 2022 in the insane heat are North Korean prisoners, on loan; they are Indonesian or Sri Lankan or Bangladeshi or Nepalese migrants, the last of whom are not being allowed to go home for the funerals of their dead after the recent earthquake. They are slave labour, and they are dying by the thousands. The official estimate is that it will kill between 4,000 and 5,000 men. The real number could be higher.

I'm guessing so long Qatar World Cup.

That is completely unacceptable. What a sad pathetic world we live in...

I hope those found guilty get what's coming to them in this corruption case. Funny how this shit has been going on for years and everyone has always known about it and joked about it. It took authorities a long time to finally do something about it.

Adn that's Blatter's partner in the middle! I'm sure she's drawn by his exceedingly good looks.

Excessive wealth usually counteracts any general repulsiveness. Such is life because humans are awful on all meaningful levels.

Women are attracted to power.

If you project power, be it in football, business, a uniform, cash or being a bad ass,

women will come.

Fifa corruption scandal: Blatter re-elected president

$1:
Sepp Blatter has been re-elected president of Fifa, football's world governing body, in a vote overshadowed by arrests and corruption allegations.

Mr Blatter's rival, Prince Ali bin al-Hussein of Jordan, withdrew after the first round of voting.

Mr Blatter fell seven short of the two-thirds needed, but Prince Ali opted not to contest further.

Seven top officials were arrested in Switzerland on Wednesday as part of a US prosecution that indicted 14 people

Is FIFA in any way related to the UN, because it all looks the same from here.

BRAH BRAH:
Meanwhile how many Wall Street folks have been arrested for their part in the 2008 financial meltdown?

None, because then they'd have to start arresting everyone who had a hand in it, including several politicians, including presidents, from both sides of the political spectrum.

Zipperfish @ Fri May 29, 2015 11:07 am

Wonderful news for South America adn Africa. The money will keep flowing.

Thanos @ Fri May 29, 2015 11:07 am

Aye, tis a golden age of corruption, the likes of which has rarely been seen before. Perhaps it's not their fault for indulging but ours for being dumb enough not to get on the gravy train when the situation presents itself. Never heard of Blatter, Hastert, the Alberta PC's, the Wall Street ubermensch, or anyone at the UN losing their houses for example. :|
