Platini's threat of pulling UEFA out of FIFA probably worked by scaring the crap out of the rest of those corrupt assholes who, then decided to jettison the remaining flotsam before the whole ship sank.
Besides, only having Brazil vs Argentina World Cup Championship games every 4 years would get tiring pretty damn quick
