Not sure on the reason for the controversy on this channel.

The news media has, for the most part, been left leaning for some time. And most certainly for his own province, PKP needs to establish a similar Francophone network, that would give fair information for once, instead of the biased crap currently on other QC networks.

I reserve and retract my disapproval.
Let's see what they've got.
If I'm curious, I'll watch it for a few minutes.

That's the spirit, I wish more people were like you and not rush to judge it as a Fox clone without even giving the content a chance. It will be right leaning but doubt it will be like Fox at all since its being run by Quebecor, Franophone Quebecers.

Hec I might even be disapointed by the content, but I prefer to take the wait and see approach.

I don't believe it could survive in Canada if it were to be a Fox Clone.

If it's Canada-centric and 'tamer',
and run completely by Canadians,
then it should survive just fine.

If by tamer you mean politically correct you may be disapointed already.

$1:
“Canadian TV news today is narrow, it’s complacent and it’s politically correct. It’s boring,” Mr. Teneycke said. “… Our aim is not to bore people to death. We’ll leave that to the CBC.”

The business man part of me is pretty sure its going to be Canada centric and run by Canadians since Canada is the ir primary market, it would be suicide otherwise.

It's no coincidence the media has dubbed this "Fox North".

C'est le facteur American qui leur fait peur. That's all

What's really amazing and a point that's been missed is that this is a Quebec company that's expanding in a very large scale who are aiming for success in an English Canadian market.

Pretty smart business men thinking out of the box that are filling a void in the Canadian marketplace.

Ads are meant to illicit a favorable response. Doesn't mean anything though.
