George Floyd's death sparks protests across U.S.
Public_Domain Public_Domain:
rumours of some riots consciously targetting "bad businesses", asking for stories of shit bosses
If true it would mean racism and police brutality aren't the real reason for the rioting. Surprise, surprise

It means these actions are revenge driven against the man. You know that evil Korean asshole who owns the flower shop or that hateful Muslin woman selling lottery tickets in the family corner store or that Black business owner who wanted them to get jobs.
It's utterly fucking disgusting that these immoral assholes are using the death of a man to further their own twisted revenge agenda just because mommy didn't give them enough hugs when they were little so now everyone who didn't give them everything they wanted should suffer.

Public_Domain Public_Domain:
The people who walked out are part of the problem not part of the solution.
These types of people claim they don't want all blacks tarred with the same brush and rightfully so but, by their actions they've shown that they're quite willing to do the same to all police officers.

it's easy, just be a good business

So you think it's right for the employees to be allowed to play God. If you're a crappy employee and get yourself fired or disciplined by your boss it now gives you the right to decide his fate and if it's thumbs down he'll likely lose everything and every other employee he had working for him now loses their job.
My guess is that if you're "rumours" are to be believed it won't be long till Condado Tacos in Polaris will be "randomly" attacked by these uncoordinated and extremely ethical rioters.
Sounds about right to me..

If these accusations are true and given who the authors of the story are they might not be completely accurate it's still interesting to say the least.
It appears that former Officer Chavin knew George Floyd and actually worked at the same nightclub but may or may not have known each other.
$1:
Both Chauvin and Floyd worked security at El Nuevo Rodeo, a nightclub in the city, although it’s unlikely they knew each other, according to the club’s former owner. Chauvin worked outside while Floyd worked inside, and Chauvin had been with the club for much longer than Floyd.
And Chauvin was a lose canon long before he murdered George Floyd which means the Minneapolis police dept has alot of explaining to do. This guy has been involved in several police shootings and the last one is the most interesting.
$1:
Chauvin had 17 complaints filed against him with the Minneapolis Police Department’s Internal Affairs. The details of these complaints are unclear, but only one was “closed with discipline” — two letters of reprimand — according to the Minneapolis Police Department.
He’s been involved in several police shootings: In 2006, Chauvin was one of the officers who shot and killed Wayne Reyes, 42, a stabbing suspect who allegedly pulled a gun on the police. In 2008, he shot Ira Latrell Toles, a domestic assault suspect, in the abdomen. And in 2011, he was with a group of officers that fired at 23-year-old Alaska Native Leroy Martinez, who was spotted running from a shooting. An eyewitness told the Star Tribune at the time that Martinez had dropped his weapon and held his arms in the air before the police shot him.
So, who the fuck kept letting this lunatic patrol the street of Minneapolis?
As for the other 3 officers none were white and one of them like Chauvin should never have been allowed to wear a uniform.
$1:
What we know about the other officers
Three other officers involved in the incident were fired on Tuesday, but none of them have been arrested yet.
Tou Thao is the officer in the video who stood guard as Chauvin pinned Floyd’s neck down with his knee.
Thao completed his police academy training in 2009 but was laid off for two years. He returned to the police department in 2012.
Six police conduct complaints were filed against Thao. Five were closed without discipline and one was still open when he was fired
.
Thao was the subject of an excessive force lawsuit in 2017 along with another officer, Robert Thunder. The suit’s plaintiff, Lamar Ferguson, said Thao and Thunder punched, kicked, and kneed him during his arrest, which resulted in broken teeth, bruising, and trauma. After taking Ferguson to the hospital for medical treatment, they escorted Ferguson to jail in only his T-shirt and underwear, according to the lawsuit. Thao said he arrested Ferguson because of an outstanding arrest warrant and that he only punched Ferguson after one of his hands slipped out of the handcuffs. The lawsuit was settled out of court for $25,000.
J Alexander Kueng, 26, and Thomas K. Lane, 37, are the other two officers involved in Floyd’s death. Kueng helped pin Floyd down and Lane allegedly pointed a gun at Floyd before handcuffing him. Both were also fired on Tuesday.
Kueng and Lane were licensed last August and didn’t have any complaints filed against them.
https://www.vox.com/2020/5/31/21276049/ ... at-we-knowSo what we know is that the City of Minneapolis either has no morals when it comes to who it allows to patrol their streets or the Police Union in Minneapolis is so strong it can force the city and dept to keep officers who are clearly unhinged on the job despite numerous complaints and shootings.
Either way. The City of Minneapolis and the Minneapolis Police Department are ultimately responsible for this murder and subsequent fallout. Because, they're the ones who did sweet fuck all to stop their officers from turning into execution squads. And, it isn't the first time they've put improperly trained and unhinged officer out on the streets.

Enough already! How is something that we all agree on dividing us? Literally everyone from the left to the right is saying that the cop who killed George Floyd should be prosecuted. Everyone is on board. Show me someone who is holding elected office in the U.S. that is saying that George Floyd got what he deserved. No one is saying that. Than all you lefties somehow trying to blame this on Trump. Minnesota is a democratic stronghold. They have not voted for a republican President since Nixon. The democrats control the state and the city of Minneapolis. They hire the police. They train the police. If the police are fucking up than put the blame where it belongs. Its not like President Trump has a hotline to individual police officers in Minneapolis. Its not like Trump gave the green light to kill George Floyd. The dems run the state and all the cities in MN. They set the use of force policies. Do not try to blame President Trump for this cop still being on the police force with all these complaints of abuse against him. Put that shit where it belongs.
The right sais that the cop should be charged. The left wants to use this to further their cause. They want upheaval. They want carnage. The majority of the businesses that are being looted and destroyed are owned by minorities. How is that going to get justice for George Floyd?
A cop in my city was shot in the back of the head last night. The coward that shot him could not even look him in the eye when he shot him. He is only 29 years old. He is a fucking kid. Now he is on life support. People are pissed. We get it. All this looting, destruction, and killing is not helping the cause. All these cops that are being killed for merely being a cop, have friends and families. They get called for jury duty just like everyone else. What if they get called for the case of the cop who killed George Floyd? They are going to let him walk. Its human nature. Its like the Hatfields and McCoys, it never stops.
I want to reign in the cops, I do not want to kill them. All this looting, arson, assault, battery, killing, needs to stop right fucking now. It is not helping George Floyd. It is not helping the minorities that are having their businesses destroyed. It is not helping the minorities that will have to walk even more miles to get their groceries and prescriptions after their neighborhood markets are destroyed. Stop trying to politicize an event that we all agree on already.

Yea, because blackface is the same as shooting protesters.
Swing, and a miss.
It's not, but it's fun to remind him because the Internet doesn't forgive nor does it forget.
I am not the internet. When someone apologizes for something sincerely, I forgive.
Perhaps that is exactly what is wrong with the internet and society in general in this age of social media lynching.

I've learned from videos on my twitter feed that American police officers and Canadian police officers are different. Very different.
I've personally delivered ~120 .50 caliber rifles to several Canadian law enforcement organizations.
They didn't buy them to go bear hunting.
The RCMP have made those illegal now.

helicopter live feed catches a cop smashing a car window for no reason at a peaceful protest, pans out and pretends it didn't happen. cops assaulted the protest, ready to rumble.
https://www.reddit.com/r/PublicFreakout ... y_sheriff/it's better we just let the cops decide which property is destroyed
During a protest, or a tail light on some back country road. Who is to say?
I think part of the problem is that POS cop was arrested AFTER rioting began. States or the Feds need to pass laws that hold Police accountable for their actions and they need to Investigate allegations openly and prosecute and convict Police when they break the law.
The charges need to be serious, and if guilty, the sentence; heavy.
His colleagues also need to be arrested for accessory.
We are told that no one is above the law. But, for many it seems the Police are an exception to that rule.
You want to stop this, start holding the Police accountable for their actions.
Also better training the Police on things such as use of force, arrest procedures, management of aggressive behavior, public relations, law and interpretation of law, ethics and conduct, "race-relations" and along with adopting a National use of Force Framework and making the recruitment process more stringent for new Police recruits would go a long way to restoring public trust in the Police.
