George Floyd's death sparks protests across U.S.
Thanos Thanos:
there's comedic footage making the rounds of some dipshit (not sure which city) getting swarmed by protesters after he got out of his car with a bow and prepared to start shooting arrows at them; the police took him away and his vehicle got trashed and set on fire by the crowd; a country where there's literally more firearms in it than than there are people and someone tries to pick a fight with a bow and arrow? jesus christ....

Hey! A little cultural sensitivity here. The guy might be indigenous.
{ducks}

Why do they need to get inside? They're standing in their doorway watching.
Aren't you one of the same people who were bitching about a lockdown order a couple weeks ago? Or do you just get your jollies being a contrarian.

Fucking around, indeed.
The NZ ChCh cleaner played the same folk song on his car stereo when he was driving to the mosque.

Shooting paint (pepper?) balls at someone standing on their porch.
Yikes.
That is utter fucking bullshit. There's no riot going on where this is video'd and there's no danger to the people outside their house. A fact which leads me to believe this is more about "no witnesses" than keeping the public safe.

I do rather enjoy the "destroying of property is never the answer" meanwhile the spark that founded their country was an act of destroying of property. And many people in the government still are members of "the tea party movement".
America is like a sitcom at this point.

Public_Domain Public_Domain:
cool cool cool
- george floyd was already detained in the cruiser. he was pulled out to be murdered.
- new york cops drove a fucking suv into a crowd
- cbs crew shot at by cops with rubber bullets in an empty parking lot with no protestors
- another reporter shot at in minneapolis, passenger window blown out while driving away
- lee carter, an elected official, hit with flashbangs and cs gas. showed up after the police started attacking his constituents, attacked while questioning them about what they're doing
- the cops claiming protestors are all from out of state lied; jail records show they are overwhelmingly local
- the ferguson cops have appairently abandoned their police department
- daughters of the confederacy building is burning
- allegedly someone stole an encrypted cop radio in chicago and blasted FTP on it for two hours
- minneapolis cops shooting at uninvolved bystanders on their own property
Oh, yeah. The riots are now an excuse for a police riot.
I swear it's like watching two rival gangs going at it. It's hard to give a shit.
Separate item: Heard lots of gunfire in my South Sacramento neighborhood last night. Someone suffered a drive-by shooting about a mile from my house with a single fatality and the media is refusing to report on it. So here I am.
Lots of looting downtown and ironically the businesses hurt the most are almost all black owned and they cater to the young black basketball crowd. Hate to say but I can't find it in me to care that someone chooses to serve gang bangers and then his own customers show up to fuck him over. Schadenfreude.

^ stay safe, Marine.
PluggyRug PluggyRug:
If he's right and this isn't spontaneous violence but organized mayhem and it just might be the catalyst to trigger the US's second civil war. So, if it does alot of people are going to end up dead which means we'd better move what little military we have left to our borders to try and prevent this crap from overflowing their cities and involving us.
When it comes to the accusation that this is organized I wouldn't be surprised at all. It may be musing but, all you have to do is look around to see that something's going on worldwide and the finger of opportunity is starting to point towards the Red Chinese who are the only foreign country who would seem to be in a position to benefit from the chaos in the US. Their recent actions since the pandemic began has been anything but that of a model world citizen. They've broken their agreement on Hong Kong, threatened Taiwan with invasion, attacked and sunk 2 Vietnamese fishing boats, antagonized the US Navy, publicly threatened Canada and Australia all while pushing their neighbours to the brink.
Not exactly what you'd expect from a stable friendly regime. Their aggression has gone from subtle to blatant which is troubling especially with the US preoccupied trying to quell this supposedly "spontaneous" rioting.
