The rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are secured and maintained by the force of arms.
Whether you like it or not, that's the case. Had some of these kids been armed, as the law in Virginia allows them when they're off campus, they'd have had a fighting chance. Odds are, a number of armed students and faculty would've nailed this creep before he got too far.
And, since you went there, let me point out that this was the one place in Virginia where gun control is in place.
The right to keep and bear arms didn't kill these kids. The fact that they were deliberately denied that right did.

I just dont understand what is going on any more.
It used to be adults that went "postal" you know the guy who worked half his life at some piss as job to feed and cloth his family, just to walk in one day to find out that someone half his age with a university degree has just taken his job. Now he has nothing, and flips out....
What kind of pressure and crap are we putting on our kids that they feel they have to go out and do this shit?????

I read in the newspaper this morning, that people upstairs, in an other classroom feel like they saved themselves because they turned of the lights and silently hid under the desks. They heard the shots and screams from other students...
I feel so sorry for the families and loved ones..
May the victims rest in peace, and the shooter burn in hell.

what i don't get is, isn't EVERYONE in the US armed? everyone is packing heat...right, why the fuck didn't the students fire back? i'm sure one or two G-fresh straight up gangstas,fucking loosers in their own right...had a mack-10 in their school bag (a must for all g-fresh homies in da hood..fucking morons)with enough ammo to begin a nice student/asian immigrant firefight, i'm sure if one of those pussy gangstas in the school actually did something instead of just saying infront of cameras "yo fuck wit me and you get caped what what" this incident would have ended alot sooner. if you think none of the students at that school had a firearm....give your fucking head a shake, i'm sure some of the professors were packing heat, but at the ONLY time when a civilian caring a firearm can be put into legitimate use, they jump out of a second story window......OHH SAY CAN YOU SEEEE....fucking retards

The Virginia Tech Police Department has confirmed the identification of the gunman responsible for the multiple fatalities at Norris Hall on the Virginia Tech campus Monday, April 16, 2007.
The individual has been identified as Cho Seung-Hui, 23. Cho was enrolled as an undergraduate student in his senior year as an English major at Virginia Tech. Cho, a South Korean native, was in the U.S. as a resident alien with a residence established in Centerville, Va. Cho was living on campus in Harper Residence Hall.
A 9-milimeter handgun and 22-caliber handgun were recovered from Norris Hall. Ballistic tests on the evidence seized from the Norris Hall and the West Ambler Johnston Residence Hall scenes were conducted at the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) lab in Maryland. Lab results confirmed that one of the two weapons seized in Norris Hall was used in both shootings.

Unbelievable, in a state with some of the most relazed gun laws in the world, possibly the most relaxed, we still have people argueing that this could have been prevented with even more relaxed laws.
