There are exceptions to every rule...

yup, and changing rules based on those exceptions often ends up causing more damage than good. Nothing is perfect but our system is doing pretty damned well in comparison to other countries.
Maybe those other countries don't have human rights commissioners dictating what can be said what can't be said, who you should hire and how many of 'those' you should hire and if you don't you are...RACIST. Canadians are pretty quiet on said issues than most. Racism is a card played tooooooo much in this country. Maybe we are too ....'polite'.
'those'? Really, you look down on immigrants so much that you are not even willing to call them anything more than 'those'? We have those limits because the other option is to allow groups comparable Westboro into the country that do nothing but promote hatred. Too much freedom is just as bad as too little when you are dealing with humans.
You seem pretty anti-immigrant and yet Canada is a nation of immigrants. Hell the west barely has the same culture as Ontario, the west is far more eastern European the east is western European. When you go to BC you find a far more Asian culture and no matter where you go you will find scattered Aboriginal culture (moreso in the West though). From just two posts I can already pin you down to being a hardcore anti-immigrant that likely thinks that they are stealing our jobs and can't contribute anything to the country.

Actually, Albert and Sask just need more immigrants period. Our cities are actually running out of people to employ, the people that are unemployed are generally handicapped in some form or deadbeats. I used to work at Denny's, they were forced to bring in three cooks from Bangladesh because there were not enough people applying for the job.
That's bullshit. There is plenty of people to employ and Sask is enjoying great employment and it isn't from immigrants. Fast-food, there's your answer.
Wow, here is a little taste of Saskatchewan for you. I am from a small town (Biggar), in our small town we have two doctors, likely to have a third soon, of those doctors not a single one is from Canada. The local subway is owned by immigrants who are actually quite liked. Immigrants are gradually filling up jobs that
need to be filled because the town does not have enough people willing to work the lower paying jobs. We have the people to do it overall but anyone that is not employed in the town is either a deadbeat or handicapped.
In the city the situation is the
exact same, in fact I applied to a business that paid $14/hr and they almost instantly had me filling out paperwork to be employed there because nobody was applying. I walk down the street and see help wanted signs popping up in the food court of a
university, the place where people need money the most.
What about First Nations. Large labour force yet your argument is...we need more immigrants. You're done.

And how do you suggest we make them work when all the ones that want to already are? Do you suggest we march in there and press gang them? It took me two resumes and under one day (I was hired on the spot at the second place) to find full time employment above minimum wage. You clearly don't have a clue what you are talking about.

Neither do you it seems but keep marching.

You seem pretty dumb but I won't hold it against you. The west has 'barely' the same culture as Ontario???? The West is more Eastern European than west European? East Canada is more West European? What dumbspeak is that?

Please, pull out one single bit of first hand knowledge or a statistic. All you have done is "HAH, I pull X out of my ass, I win" every time I use completely valid personal experience. Come back when you have a real argument with real backing.
I don't need to. You keep putting your foot in your mouth and backing yourself into a corner.

And this is why I call you a moron. Come to the west and ask us what we have on the holidays, most of us will answer Turkey/Ham and perogies. Ask us our heritage and most of us will answer Ukrainian, Russian, polish, or other eastern European groups. more people here are able to speak German, Ukrainian or native languages than French. We accepted mainstream cultures but we maintain some distinctly eastern cultural bits as well.

I don't know who you are cronie. Jeff is a respected member of this forum and has some very good input on this subject amongst others. You should just fuck-off.
Really, what is with all these recent 'members' looking for a fight with people they don't even know?
Jeff, you get my vote mate.

Wow, eight posts in and you're instantly assuming the post of forum jackass. If you are incapable of engaging in positive discussion, you'll soon find your time here nothing more than shouting into an empty hall with the only reply being an echo.
That and mocking... simple old fashioned mocking.

And your proposal to employ them would be what? I hear the seed of the idea, care to help it to maturity?

By west, though, I'd say prairies. BC doesn't fit that bill very well.
We have turkey, ham, and salmon (or potatoes for the paddies!)

Seconded. Jeff and I may have our disagreements, sometimes even a bit of flaming, but he's paid his dues and makes some damned good points.
Got your six, Jeff.
