Wada Wada:
Mr. Harper is a liar and hypocrite, it's that simple.

I take it you voted for him then or is this your usual partisan shite?

I don't consider myself partisan. I do lean to the left. My left leg is shorter by a wee bit, eh!

Mostly, I called it right. He lied to Nova Scotians and being Nova Scotian, well, you get my drift. He promised an "Open" government and delivered the opposite, Liar and hypocrite.

You can say what you want to about the Liberals and their downfalls, that's fair, but understand me. I'm living in the now and I judge my Prime Minister, regardless of party by what he or she is doing at this time when they are at the helm and right NOW that is Mr. Harper. You can't possibly deny that he lied to us Nova Scotians and maybe unlike some I don't forget the base of the man.

Ok, I'll have the NS view on it but come on, why should my tax dollars go to you when your reaping the benefits of oil?
My province has been funding the transfer payments for decades.
If NFLD and NS start getting lotsa cash from oil, why should we have to keep sending you guys cash?
Really it is less than fair to expect transfer payments AND oil royalities and for that level of oil income not to be taken into account re transfer payments.

the liberals now suddenly wanting an inquiriy into mulroney just seems pointless , why didn't they just do this when they were in power for those 13 years , they had plenty of time then but didn't seem too interested.

Karlheinz Schreiber is willing to testify now. Besides, there was an investigation, but Schreiber didn't testify that he gave Mulroney a bribe. But Mulroney continued to push it, to throw Schreiber in jail, so Schreiber isn't willing to protect Mulroney any more.

Harper continues to claim the Liberals are the corrupt ones, but in the 1990s everyone knew the Conservatives were. Harper is demanding all the money from the sponsorship scandal get collected; most is collected but there is a little left. So the Liberals demand the money Mulroney took from the government in defamation over the bribe be returned. It's especially insulting considering Mulroney was guilty of accepting that exact bribe. The $2.1 million was punishment for accusing him of accepting that bribe.

And Mulroney was part of Harper's transition team. Now we see what Harper's government is really about.

This is a perfect example of the type of justice the Liberals are tough on. Biased, self serving justice. When it serves their interest, the system hums and people are held accountable, but when it's little people or against the system, it's so terribly flawed.

Just as Cretien was able to direct the RCMP on so many occasions, how they use the threat of lawsuits to shut down anti-liberal websites, and how they ensured the Air India and Blood Scandel trials found nothing.

We need to get the government out of the justice system.

but this has so little to do with harper and the liberals trying to link and stick this to him is just plain pathetic .

and this schriber guy is facing deportation so isn't what he claims now a little bit questionable , like can he actually be trusted now ?
the media and liberals taking his "allegations as truth " could come back to make then look bad if they are not true or can't be proven in court.

if someone facing deportation made claims against a liberal PM , would the media believe him or her ? i highly doudt they would even publish it .

Good point, why now ?

Their grasping at straws, their hoping an investigation will make Harper and Mulroney to appear to be cut from the same cloth.
