She could turn American and be a running mate for Sara PAlin.

Oh no, you don't get to throw under the bus when it becomes convenient, but even it what you do say was true, Mulroney was one of the sleeziest people out there. It's about time the CPC had a check to their smugness and the general growing arrogance of the right.

The whole business how her husband walked on a cocaine charge and how they got a sweetheart 800k mortgage reeks of corruption.

What are you babbling about. In no way shape or form would I ever consider defending Mulroney or the party of elites he ran. But as a point, you're right about the CPC smugness growing, but it seems to be more of the old guard Progressive Conservatives than the Reformers. Imagine that.

As for the walking on a coke charge, talk to the Attorney General of Ontario who happens to be a provincial Liberal, maybe he can explain why he didn't think they had enought evidence to prosecute. 8O

But just to set the record straight I'm still a reform party member at heart and as far as I'm concerned, they should throw both Guergis and her dipshit husband right out of the Conservative Party, immediately, since this appears to be the only way for Mr. Harper to get the message out that it isn't 1988 and Mulroney isn't the PM anymore.

I don't think she will make the short list for the new GG.

Oh so now it's the "Old" conservatives versus the "New" conservatives, much like the right wing douchebags in the States it's told so often that he was never a "Real" republican. But that's fine you've admitted that you're of Parson Maninng's old minions , the sort of "Go to the back of the shop with gay people" Reform party
Newsflash the "Reform" party were a flash in the pan and never a national party, much like the BQ. You want to identify yourself with a defunct and discriminatory and hypocritical party that's your business.

The only reason i voted for the CPC two elections ago was not because they were so fantastic it's because the liberals were corrupt. And the majority of Canadians seem to feel the same way since the CPC has been unable to form a majority. Which is fine with me, because with CPC in a weakened state it means that all the religious douchnozzles who want to end a woman's right to choose and end gay rights are stuffed in the backroom of their party

Im willing to wait for a trial for Guergis but im also willing to be she's corrupt and when that it comes out more and more question of why Harper supported someone for so long, who was so manifestly unqualified as a minister. It will bring into Harpers ability to lead because it shows poor judgment skills

You know what's amazing? The number of people who claim to have voted for the Conservatives. If everyone who claimed to have voted Conservative two elections ago did, they'd have had a majority.

But your absolutely right some Liberals were corrupt and now some Conservatives appear to be going that way and for the record I do stand corrected. Mr. Jaffer was a Reform MP before the merger. Not that exhonerates him in anyway shape or form.

As for Ms Guergis, she may have been a Harris Conservative, but it is appears that as soon as she stepped on the national stage she decided to use her office for her own benefit rather than that of her constituents or country. Which is rather like some other MP's and PM"s of both parties who preceeded her.

But my statement stands. Regional Party or not, I will always remain nostalgic about the Reform Party because of why it was formed and what it originally stood for. But, interestingly enough most of us weren't the bogeyman or a bunch of gay bashing, church loving rednecks, who, drove our pickup trucks to minorities houses just to burn crosses on their lawns.

Most of us chose the Reform Party because, as former Conservatives it was the only way we could voice our displeasure about Brian Mulroney's elitist, self serving group of elected officials.
