Well WCB is a provincial thing as you pointed out and EI is federal so right there thats a difference.

I just looked at the Alberta site for WCB (I know you pay up north). It looks like a company pays WCB premiums but they also pay out claims the amount depending on certain factors and the rest by the WCB.

Almost like auto insurance claims. If you are your companies only employee and won't make a WCB claim against your own company then you might be able to get away with not paying them.

Again, what do you want me to say? Seems to me that talking to a tax expert could save you loads and loads of money.

You personally or your "corporation". I pay CPP, EI, fed and prov tax, and LTD which is Life Time Disability. LTD is my own employers life insurance program and not associated with WCB.

You personally or your corporation?

It still seems like you might save yourself a good deal of money by talking all this to a tax professional.

I have one, most dont have a clue about other provinces though so I have to do a lot of it myself.

No problems, hoping to be on the road next week.
No pics either. 8)

Now where's that popcorn?
The gay military thread is getting good. [B-o]

I still don't see an answer to "you or your corporation". Do "you" personally have an account as an employee that all employees are required to have or is it your corporation. I understand that you want to change threads but please make this clearer for me.

My numbered corporation,I have to have WCB to work.I have an online account where I pay that along with my GST and EI,it's seperate from your online banking but still go's through your bank. The government has their own system set up for collecting those funds.

Every province is different,I dont pay Nunavut WCB when I'm in BC.

Now that makes sense. Your corporation pays WCB premiums just like any other corporation as with EI.

I still say talk to a tax professional because its likely that since your corporation consists of just you (I assume) that you can get away with not paying those premiums. There are also different ways for you to pay yourself that can be tax advatage, IE paying yourself more or less as a "wage" saving your "company" dollars in terms of corp tax and/or premiums.

I made money off your tip to buy those gold stocks a year ago the least I can do is return the favour. [B-o]

Public opinion is trending in favour of coalition. Ignatieff should go for it.

The real question is how can you cons support your party leader as he presents a budget that includes a massive deficit that you allegedly are against.

Why aren't you protesting? Why aren't you defeating it by demanding your party change it?

Oh, thats right. If Iggy supports it you will shift all blame to him as many of you are already doing.

If he doesn't then you will say "Harper tried" and blame the Libs for forcing an election.

In other words no matter what you won't accept responsibility for your parties decisions.

How about you tell us if you agree with the budget. How about you say that if Iggy supports it you will support the fact that the Libs helped make it happen.

How about just saying you are deeply disappointed that your guys have sunk us back into massive debt of their own machinations.

Speculative but this billion deficit doesn't look good for Harpy.

None of 'em look any good anymore. IMO Iggy is very nearly as awful as Harper. But, politically, it might be to Iggy's advantage to push ahead with this coalition.
