Good for them. Too bad it's necessary at all to have to do these things all all, and it's all thanks to the kind of anti-social scumbags, maniacs, and morons who are so irresponsible/malicious with their firearms it called the entire right of ownership into disrepute.
It's really quite the other way around.
The experience of the US over the past fifty years is that the more gun control you have the more crime you have.
The worst cities for gun crime in America remain those cities that do their best to frustrate law abiding citizens from owning guns.
The states that have adopted various carry laws have seen violent crimes decrease...which has caused more states to adopt even more liberal carry laws.
All I know is if I'm sitting in that London restaurant when those Jihadis stormed in and cut that woman's throat while screaming "This is for Allah!" you could talk me into a gun.

I don't believe in gun control. I believe that certain types of degenerates shouldn't be allowed to possess firearms, ever, because they're too mentally and emotionally dangerous to be given the franchise to.

Agreed.
I'd also prohibit people from buying or owning firearms if they support gun control.

So, your saying you would discriminate based on what people think? Interesting!
Is it any morally different that pro-gun American politicians basically implying every time there's a mass shooting that this is the price that has to be occasionally paid for the right to possess a firearm?
Bad example this time, Bud. These London knife attacks are as bad as they are, because they can't be stopped as quick as they are in Israel. Wanna know how the Israelis most often stop them? Guns.
The Brits stopped this attack COLD in 8 minutes - that's a response rate most cities around the world wish they could match. Pretty damned impressive for a police force where a large percentage DON'T carry a firearm.
They're also much more disciplined cultures than the North American one is. They're also generally not bombarded 24 hours a day by cable channels and hate-radio programs and YouTube fuckwits that use over-saturation of their sickening brand of "reporting" as way to subliminally encourage mass panic. One of the dumb-fuck Americans said "London looks like a war zone tonight!" and the Brits were all like "lol wut?" because they aren't buying into any of the media bullshit.
Remember Britain had been attacked on Westminster bridge in March and Manchester in May. Other attacks had been foiled in between, ISIS soldiers have been returning to Britain and it's Ramadan.
Theresa May raised the terror alert level to severe on May 23.

Mrs May also announced that troops would replace police officers at set-piece events including sports venues and concerts.
It will be the first time since 2003 – when the Government reacted to a plot to bring down an airliner – that troops are deployed on the streets.
With the FA Cup final this weekend, Mrs May acted on the advice of the Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre after chairing two meetings of the Cobra emergency committee.
Security will also be stepped up at major public events and terrorist targets such as railway stations and airports.
It is the first time Britain has been on maximum terrorist alert since 2007, when a blazing car loaded with gas canisters was driven into Glasgow Airport.
It's interesting a special elite NAS unit called Blue Thunder jumped in a helicopter and raced to the scene as well. The armed units of the Police force beat them. Or at least, so they say.

The source said: “There’s only a few hundred SAS in total and there are thousands of armed police. It will always be the police on the scene first.”
And here's something else that's interesting concerning this heightened alert and the "addition" of so many armed police. It might not be an actual addition.

Mr Kirkham warned "the streets of London have been lost" to knife crime and accused Theresa May of being "criminally negligent with the safety of the public" as she slashed funding and clamped down on stop-and-search tactics.
The Prime Minister said police were able to "significantly increase the number of armed officers on patrol in key locations" because of measures taken after Salman Abedi killed 22 people in a suicide bomb attack at Manchester Arena last month.
But Mr Kirkham said: "The police service is in crisis as a result of the cuts. They are being dragged from pillar to post. We hear talk of extra police officers on the street.
"They aren't extra, they are officers that have had to have their rare leave days cancelled, they have had their 12-hour shifts that are now done routinely being extended to 16 hours, they are being drawn from other areas."
When Sky News anchor Kay Burley asked him to comment on claims there were more armed officers on patrol than ever before, Mr Kirkham said "people that are alleging that are lying" and confirmed he was referring to the Government.
Now as to the little mini-spew attacking YouTube videos where some are concerned and some aren't in Britain...well, let's have a look at both of these sides to see who the real heroes and villains are. Here's one - concerned versus unconcerned:
If you want to ban guns then why would you object to the ban starting with yourself?
It's not about guns Bart, it's about descrimination based on a persons thoughts
Yet that's exactly why Trump's travel bans are being blocked in the courts and that's because of his thoughts, not because of the legality of the action.
Seems to me that this ship has left dock and set to sea.
If people don't want to face discrimination because of their thoughts then don't do it to others.

Isn't blocking people because of their religion discrimination because of their thoughts?
