If you want to ban guns then why would you object to the ban starting with yourself?
It's not about guns Bart, it's about descrimination based on a persons thoughts

Yet that's exactly why Trump's travel bans are being blocked in the courts and that's because of his thoughts, not because of the legality of the action.
Seems to me that this ship has left dock and set to sea.
If people don't want to face discrimination because of their thoughts then don't do it to others.
Jeez Bart, is that "whatsboutism" or "whataboutery?" Doggy didn't answer! Besides, now it's about guns, who is banning guns from anyone owning a firearm whom you allow to own a firearm? doesn't make sense.
Buttie boy came to the UK as an 'asylum seeker'.
Nice payback 20some years later.

I said that discrimination against people because of their thoughts is already something that's actionable in our Federal courts.
It's being done against President Trump and it's being done extensively in our colleges and universities where people are being sanctioned for their thoughts and beliefs.
Since the liberals think it's okay to do this shit then it's absolutely rational to subject those fuckers to the tactics they created.

And here I thought the courts ruled because of the religious discrimination implicit in his ex. order.
Regarding universities...I haven't been in university since 1976 and don't want to comment, except to say that a few loudmouths, if allowed, can ruin any party.
Regarding guns- in Canada, we have laws dealing with firearm ownership... get the training and background checks... get the gun... then follow the rules regarding the safe storage and handling of said gun. One is not required to fill out a political leanings or vote test. You must think it sucks to be Canadian!

It's irrelevant. He has the delegated authority to do this regardless of his motivations so the substance of the ruling is about his
thoughts that motivated him to issue this order.
According to that line of thinking then I should be ticketed every time I stop for a red light because even though I'm legally obliged to do I'm actually thinking, "Fuck those goddamned Muslims, I'm stopping at this red light!"

Yes, there are some aspects of Canada that suck. You don't see them because you have your health care, you have social saftey nets, someone will take care of you if needed, and this all comes at the price of personal liberty.
Myself I'd rather hazard the dangers of liberty than rest comfortably as someone's pet.

I was under the impression that ALL laws and regulations in the US were subject to Constitutional scrutiny.
Personal liberty: Two DIFFERENT countries, two different ways to look at life. I made my choice and I guess you did too.
Regarding red lights and Muslims???? What the heck was that...a UFO???

The contention that we're "not free" because we don't allow yahoos to walk around Walmart with AR-15's strapped to them remains laughable as always though.

Terrorists have ripped a page out of Al Qaeda's 9/11 playbook replacing Hijacked Airliners with vehicles to cause maximum causalities and no amount of security measures will ever be enough.

They have freedom to behave like they are in the mythical Old Wild West. We are allowed to be free from those nut bars that want to live like it's the mythical Old Wild West.

I like the part where they ignore the actual history of sheriffs, marshals, mayors, and governors banning open carry of weapons in frontier towns like Dodge City just because everyone had gotten sick and tired of armed drunks shooting each other (and innocent passers-bye too) in the streets. None of this crap today of all the rights belonging to the biggest shitheads at the physical expense of everyone else.
And that's not gun control either, with the evil government violating the rights of the good folks. More like arsehole and sub-moron control simply because it's plain common sense.
So, in the end it can be summed up as freedom to be armed and stupid or freedom from the armed and stupid. Fewer people die in the latter scenario.
Driverless cars will be an advance but I'm not sure about the plastic cutlery for all. Throw in constant mass surveillance and it sounds very like a penitentiary.
I hope this is a phase Islam is going through and that secularization via Facebook and Man United will cure it in a few decades. My iPad typed secular inaction there - not encouraging.
